both the original video game and the film affected me so deeply as a young child.

So I’m curious how Leto will go insane for his method acting prep for Tron. I’m hoping he somehow digitizes himself and actually manages to live on the grid (ooo maybe just live in a VR world with our current equipment!), but I know that it’s probably going to involve him hacking his cast mates phones and personal

yeah i literally facepalmed as i read it. i didn’t expect a third to be any better than the second, but geez. this just feels doomed.

Honestly other than Suicide Squad he’s been good-to-great in all his roles. People just like to pile on the guy for that movie.

2020: A new TRON movie is on the horizon!

Yes, but with an Asian lead in a cookie-cutter, super person movie. See, completely different!

What wait....there’s a third TRON coming about?

LETO: “I’m struck with such gratitude for the opportunity to bring this movie to life, especially as both the original video game and the film affected me so deeply as a young child...

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if there’s a shit-ton of Leto footage that got cut. I might be wrong, but it felt to me like a character who’d been trimmed down to the essentials in the edit — probably because doing so served the story better, but who knows how obnoxious any further footage might have been.

To wit, I just bought a DVD of Cabin Boy at the Goodwill on Sunday, and threw it into my PS4, so old media is still alive and well with me, regardless of the march going forward.

To be fair, he didn’t ruin Blade Runner:: 2049. Maybe it was because he had a small role as a bat-shit insane character, so it wasn’t a stretch for him, or maybe the director was really good at keeping him under control.

Cheers!

I dunno, I’ve always found “the inevitable march of time” argument to be fairly dubious. TV didn’t kill broadcast radio or the movies. Cable didn’t kill over the air television. At most, new technologies merely displace the old technologies, especially if the old ones are still widely loved. The “buggy whip” metaphor

Daisy: “She’s not gonna stop me from getting back Simmons.”

Oh you’ll certainly be able to get them through whatever streaming service Disney puts them on

Why would anyone give Leto a movie at this point? Especially something as high budget as a Tron sequel. Dude might be ok in indies, but give him a budget and his method crap is a huge liability.

Finally, Daisy vows to rescue Simmons (and Deke) in a sneak peek from tonight’s series finale.

Meanwhile, Henry Golding hyped his Snake Eyes solo film as “the exact opposite of the cookie-cutter, super people movies.”

It was inevitable. Samsung stopped making 4K blu ray players last year.
