Dante’s Peak is burned (haha) on my brain because of a particularly gruesome scene in which an old lady jumps into an acid (???) lake to help drag a disintegrating boat containing her family and Pierce Brosnan to safety. This is also the one I watched instead of the competing Volcano movie that came out the same year.
