I guess it's getting harder to be critical about Spoon's amazing consistency, record after record. "Sounds like a new Spoon album" is about the worst thing I can come up with about Hot Thoughts.

I think it's that it's a room full of "professional" writers who try to make the story do "TV" things, if that makes sense. The comic story is fairly simple and spartan and suits the subject matter. I think they try to make it more "interesting" and things get wobbly.
Well, if you want to get that technical, Lennie didn't kill anybody.
It's too bad too. The Saviors storyline in the comics was pretty good. More often than not, when they veer away from the source material, things start getting wobbly.
You mad?
I kept staring at it last night.
Well, glad it's been all cleared up.
I agree that the writer is wrong, but there were some people that thought the same thing.
I recall seeing other commenters agreeing with that assessment.
So people still think Eugene "went evil"?
I was simply responding to "If the two of them had a significant conversation before her attempt to kill Negan, it's escaping my memory at the moment."
He tried to talk her out of taking that shot at Negan.
You're right. This show is TOTAL FICTION!!! Hmmpf.
[shrugs shoulders]
It make sense that she might give up, considering how hard it was for her to become "human" again after she was so closed off. This is the woman who, after the prison, almost resigned herself to just walking with the dead.
The answer always will bend towards the masturbating option.
No doubt. I was just thinking that a 2600 would be hard to find even now wouldn't it?
But was Hannibal a "fun guy"?
I kind of agree. Comic Negan is at least physically imposing. But I think we're supposed to assume that he does have loyal guys around him, like the GTA Trevor guy. He does seem to treat "special" people differently, as he did with Eugene. That would build a type of loyalty and we certainly can't meet everyone that…
People apparently just tried to kill him in this episode.
