Not into the streaming thing at all. I still like buying and owning copies of albums, songs, even if they're digital. Many artists make pennies from streaming services. The compensation is that they might get people to listen to their music who otherwise wouldn't have bought it. It seems like a terrible model to me.

Also interesting that she would have her car key solo like that. Does anyone else do that? Don't most people have a group of keys on a ring?

Did they nail down the time that the ex-boyfriend or her brother supposedly called her phone to hack into her voice mail? Couldn't that have been who used *67? Or am I forgetting something?

Yeah, if he was the chosen one, he wouldn't have failed (using the logic of the pre-disney movies). And he didn't fail. He's the one that ended the emperor.

That may be true. I don't feel like TFA stands on its own though, as many critics have pointed out how much the story beats repeat ones from ANH. If they really wanted these trilogies to be separate, they wouldn't have included the iconic characters. They wouldn't have Kylo being his grandson. I feel like not

I feel like that's almost the way it should go. It would give Anakin's arc possibly more meaning and tie that somewhat closed storyline into the new films a little more.

The fan theories out there about Snoke are pretty good and I hope are kind of the way the story is going. Like I'd forgotten about Anakin being a "virgin birth".

Well that's what I'm wondering. Is that story still to be told or are we wandering out beyond a nicely contained story arc to make more money for Disney. If it doesn't go the chosen one way it might be disappointing. Or maybe there never will be balance and that's the way it's supposed to be. If balance actually is

Here's a cookie. My interpretation is that him killing the emperor and coming back to the light was the prophecy fulfilled. But apparently there are still shenanigans.

Maybe SPOILER-Y…

" Who the fuck was the Resistance resisting? I would assume it's the First Order, but if that's the case, why didn't the Republic just wipe out the First Order themselves? "Nah, let's leave it to this fucking ragtag organization." Any why is Leia involved with the Resistance and not the Republic?"

I have no idea. It would be even better if it was totally self-aware like that.

My favorite parts were when Rey calls a certain ship just out of view "garbage" and when they were comparing the old Death Star with the new simply bigger version. That though was unintentionally funny.

"The guy just doesn't look like he could be threatening."

D+

At least the writers, etc. are self-aware. They even cracked a joke about the "magical negro" in the episode before this one.

Yeah, stereo and mono should have been done together.

The Beatles remaster box sets should be the last word on repackaging. Having said that, I always wish the remaster discs had been re-released with the corresponding singles from their albums for the whole picture of that year in the band's life. I know that the past masters discs compiled the singles and it's easy to

That's a good point. "Batshit" is very subjective. I just think Negan will be more over the top and a little a less human than they tried to make the Gov. The TV Gov had some motivation for his craziness. My guess is Negan will be less sympathetic, more a force of nature. A Joker, if you will.

I've always thought that they didn't make the Governor completely batshit from the beginning because Negan will be completely batshit. Otherwise, they'd be too similar. And we know people would complain about that.
