That’s almost definitely the contemporary setting you’ll ever see in an Assassin’s Creed game.

Ignoring the fact that even though this guy is mentioned by name in the article, I STILL have no idea who the hell he is lol. 11M on youtube isn’t really “hugely famous” either.
The trailer might mention that, and the title might imply it, but based on literally everything else mentioned in the article about the actual movie itself, it’s pretty obvious that Easter isn’t even remotely the star of the movie lol.
Yeah I stopped playing the series about halfway through Odyssey so I never got that far. I don’t know what exactly it was but that game just burnt me out. Eventually I did try to go back to play but my save file was corrupted or something and I just said fuck it and never tried again after that lol.
“hugely famous” lol.
Easter is the setting, not the theme/reason for the movie lol.
Probably because despite the title it’s not actually an Easter movie?
Well, the shift started before Origins, I’d say the second they wrapped up Desmond’s story they clearly had no idea where to go from there and the games just kinda hung in limbo plot wise and lumbered from game to game with only the most threadbare reasons for your jaunts down genetic memory lane.
Sure, but those two shadowy organizations were fighting each other across time, over quasi-magical artifacts from an ancient civilization predating humanity by like a billion years and capable of seeing into the future, as far back as the very first game lol.
Always revenue, company profit is usually hidden in earnings sheets unless they have a reason to celebrate it, and you’ll never see profit for individual games (unless it’s some indie thing or something where’s it like “oh we spent $10k but made $10m!” or a specific milestone is met, like mentioned below lol).
If the mountain of heinous shit they’ve been accused of/exposed for hasn’t been enough to get someone to stop playing their games already, this absolutely isn’t going to change a single thing lol.
I’m 90% certain that’s just Hodor. I’m also not unconvinced that the guy on the left of the isn’t a sicario rom Breaking Bad and the dude on his right isn’t Wilford Brimley.
Look, clearly you seem to be under the assumption that because Sony bought a studio before they developed a hit series, or because a studio was smaller at the time of purchase than they are now, that it’s somehow substantially different from a market perspective than simply acquiring a company with a built-in catalog.
can any other platform survive without CoD and ActiBlizz’s other IPs?
I mean, they’re both right though.
...seriously? Sony did literally just do the same thing with buying Bungie/Destiny and has been doing exclusivity deals for years now lol.
Those mobile titles have literally 4 to 5 times as many users as COD has ever had. Those mobile games rake in more than triple the amount COD rakes in. That’s $2.6 BILLION [versus] $850 Million in 2021...
I mean, sometimes things just slip through the cracks. I doubt this is going to be as pervasive of an issue as you’d see on the Steam store or something.
Once or twice I would have been okay with, the problem was it was just SO pervasive, like it’s the only thing these anime studios know how to do.
