Pretty much.

It’s just a very generic “chosen one” storyline. It definitely improves in the later expansions (particularly the latest ones), but the first half of the game’s overall story (pretty much 1.0/pre-ARR to about Heavensward-ish) is just the same tired old story you’ve heard 1000 times before with absolutely nothing new

it’s niche because it’s a racing game.

Players/Accounts and sales aren’t the same thing.

Aren’t they just the same people who made XIV? I mean I like XIV and all that but the story as a whole has been kinda...whatever.

I have very distinct memories of running around as Altair and intentionally gathering as large of a group as possible just so I could go rambo on them all with some sword action lol.

GT hasn’t been a “genuine system seller” since GT3 and the PS2 21 years ago though.

...sure bud lol.

15 games over nearly 30 years will do that lol.

And here we are a month later and GT7 has already dropped to like 8 or 9, by next month it won’t even be in the top 10.

While that’s not entirely unrealistic, I haven’t been this underwhelmed about a main line FF game in a VERY long time.

Yeah, but it’s still plenty stealth, if only just your sneaking around and hiding bodies and such.

Racing games in general are a fairly niche genre.

Yeah, it seemed like a big swing and a miss.

I would also find it hard to find something like that arousing...but then again you’ve got people who literally get off to stuff like bad drawings of my little pony “porn”, so I’d assume that for a number of people who use those mods arousal is definitely on the table for them (especially if they’re paying enough to

It does feel a little ironic that of all the sims to pick to embrace darker skin tones and such, it would be a family named “The Goths” which...you know...pasty white skin is kinda their entire deal lol.

Considering there’s people making 6 figures a year just making sex mods for the game, that feels like an understatement lol.

PlayStation has already had a pretty banner year, thanks to a number of exclusives (Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, Ghostwire: Tokyo) and a forthcoming revamp of its subscription services.

Nah, it definitely does feel that way at first, but once you actually start playing you realize it’s nowhere near as daunting as the initial map size suggests and it’s pretty easy to see and explore everything as you naturally progress through the game.

People tend to blow it out of proportion. Even in the original AC you could just waltz on in and openly slaughter everyone if you really wanted to lol.
