I literally took my iPhone to the Apple store to fix a charging problem... and was utterly flummoxed when the employee just cleaned the port of a huge wad of lint and basically said “Hey, here you go, all fixed.” How is this not more well-known?

What makes less sense is that this wasn’t Kamala’s conviction—it belonged to some other office, which she was supposed to provide oversight of. It sounds like (at the time, at least) she just bought into the culture of fighting to the death to keep any and all exculpatory evidence hidden.

We definitely just bought the pastry. No way were we going to add that entire extra work. But we got a high quality one from Whole Foods and it was deliiiicious.

It wasn’t that hard to make (nailed inside temp since we have a quick-read thermometer), but the puff pastry wasn’t exactly... perfectly beautiful when we wrapped it. We didn’t really figure out how to close the ends of it nicely. Still delicious!!

Your chicken dish sounds really good, too. Love roast chicken, then you can make stock the next day!

That sounds like an amazing use for that extra amount! I’m so glad you were able to find some peaceful stability for a little while.

We decided to get reaaaal fancy for Valentine’s Day and made a beef wellington! It was A) incredibly delicious and decadent, and B) extraordinarily expensive for something home-made. But we’re getting three full meals out of it, and that’s what we had for dinner tonight!
