Great use of a BBC Master 128 :) with trackball no less.

From a canon. Actually two canons I think.

Ha! I had a hire car with these still fitted in January in Miami. I had no idea they were supposed to be taken off.

The reason is simple, Le Mans is a really big sporting event here, it’s the event that attracts the most UK spectators, forget football or cricket.

Given that Aston can only make a few thousand a year, it’s nver going to be volume seller. It’s also probably not a great DD, I DD’d the previous Vantage for a few years, but it wasn’t really practical.

Only losly based on the AJV8, the Aston V8 was dry sumped, and had different heads and cooling, and was bored and lengthened, so it was just the spacing of the bores really.

Right, those prices are nuts. Insurance on my Aston, in central London, with trackday cover is around $1200 a year.

Mog is just the nickname for Morgans in the U.K.

You can also use .co.uk sites to book rentals in the US and get the same. I guess it only works if your IP address is a European one, but it’s a lot cheaper.

I’m also an AI practitioner, but in industry.

F1 engine components are *really* expensive. Very little in common with a road car. This is from a few years ago, and it’s still insanely complex to manufacture. http://scarbsf1.com/valves.html

Front engine Bristol’s keep the spare in the front wing (fender?), the battery goes in the one on the other side. It’s probably the best bit of economics in a Bristol though.

Quite a few people in the UK Have US police cars with lights. It’s legal as long as you don’t run the lights or siren on a road, and pretend to be police.

I bought a P38 Range Rover in 2015. Kept it for just over a year, and stopped counting at £14,000 of cost.

XJ220, in a random outer london street.

The pits and one or two grandstands are still there, you can park right by them and visit, but the rest of the track is gone :( the pit straight is now a road in an industrial estate, and the rest of the track has been built on.

I think there are quite a few pickups that sell in Europe that you don’t really see in the US. You get tax breaks in the U.K. At least if you have one as a work vehicle. It’s very rare to see one that’s privately owned though.

Ha, I made pretty much the same decision. I live in central London, but have a driveway. Looked at an electric for a daily driver, lots of benefits including free parking here, but in the end a heavily depreciated 330i touring won out.

Dirt on high powered headlamps can cause glare. Washers are a legal requirement in Europe, over a certain brightness level
