Truesay on the disqus front.
That would be the wisest thing you've done yet.

I hadn't considered people liking comments to see who else has upvoted, and then retracting it very soon after. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, that's something that I definitely need to account for. You can also see who has upvoted a comment by hovering the cursor over the upvote count, without having to

Thanks, fancytalk is all the rage. I wasn't really attempting a burn, it was meant a lot more dispassionately than that. Nice use of crestfallen though.

Your right battybrain the human race and the world at large does not owe one anything - yet again you'll find this is not what I said or tried to say.

A rebuttal to the specific example I gave in riposte to your first response, which ended in a question you neglected to answer in lieu of two straw-man fallacies.

See you're moving the goalposts.

No one is a hero for pirating media.
No one of is hero for purchasing media.
I don't think either of these, and I can confirm I know the definition of the word heroics.

But seriously, how many people in third world countries do you know?
I'm sure numerous, so of those people, how many are trying to learn or perfect their English?

I peddle all kinds of shit, I rarely buy any of it.

They do have the right to recoup their budgets, of course they do. Freedom is a complicated subject, but no part of me believes it entails "getting whatever entertainment you want for free".

You are correct and I agree that it doesn't change the copyright holder's right to choose how it is distributed or their right to profit from it, though writing copy is more Mad Men, and copywrite isn't a word.

@Dikachu:disqus liked my comment. My day is made.

Alright mate, sheesh. My straw man in this case is indeed an actual real friend from the games4theworld forum. I think he was more interested in Kubrick's use of pace in The Shining than colour, and he prefers BBCFour documentaries about rock bands than the nature fare. Also he likes The Sims 4.

I used the example of the BBC (uh hello, the world's largest broadcaster by audience) and PBS as examples of companies that would continue to make these products even if they're not being compensated for them, primarily because they're publicly funded.

Education is vital to life, especially in third world countries where there is not so much time for entertainment.

Haha, haha, and yet even more sardonic laughter battybrain.

Fabulous Films seem pretty fabulous.

The 'other one' is Justin Roiland, if you didn't know.

It was news to me like ETP said. I live in England where deer are kept away in picturesque nature reserves, for rich folk to hunt occasionally.
