Listen, internet opinions are fine and all, but allow me to contribute a real-world one: I actually own a ‘79 Malibu wagon in very similar condition to this one. It’s even got a crate 350 and rally wheels. The only real difference is that mine doesn’t have faux-wood sides. Now, when I bought mine about a year and a

I mean, I get that this is not in track mode or whatever, but still looks high. Maybe partially a photo angle illusion.

Am I the only one looking at that side view and thinking: man, that car sits really high off the ground.

Personally I would go Focus ST (for both size and better looks), but this is still a great car at a fair price. My NP vote is based on the fact that there’s always a little negotiation room, especially when the price is XX,900.

Those are a whole lot of sad wheeled things. Man. They all suck obviously, but my vote for worst would go to the Sebring. Just a bad, bad, ugly car. Or wait, no - those “Jeeps”. Those might be worse.

That thing is pristine. But nope. I love giant malaise machines, but I love them more when I can buy them cheap, and that does not apply here. (Side note: I have a friend who just inherited one in powder blue and you could probably buy it cheap from him.)

I’m voting NP, for the reasons logically explained by others already. However, it is also worth pointing out that I just bought a very clean one-owner ‘06 Pathfinder (which honestly is VERY similar to this) for $3750 last week. Lots of miles and an auto on mine though.

I’m in. Yeah yeah....high mileage, expensive repairs, blah blah. It’s a fun manual wagon at a reasonable price. I’m in. If this was in my area I would probably contact the seller and dig in a little further.

I live close to this one, and have seen the ad now for a while. The more important fact is that there was recently an All-Trac Corolla WAGON for sale on our local CL as well. And it was not rusty. I went and checked that one out in person, and honestly it was a pretty decent deal (at less money than this one, by quite

This one makes me sad, even though it’s spot-on. For a couple years I daily-drove a ‘93 Legacy wagon, and it was amazing. So amazing I painted racing stripes on it, to make it go faster. But the model has definitely slid into genericism. If that’s a thing.

I voted CP, but this in no way reflects my desire to own and drive this car. I’m drooling over it. But only to the tune of....maybe $2,876.

Oh my god, seriously: who cares if she paid for it all herself? It’s a stolen car. It’s not her fault it’s stolen. Focus. Have a bit of compassion. These comments remind me too much of victim-blaming in other areas of life. Just help out, or shut the fuck up.

Those are very high on my list of the UGLIEST cars GM ever made. And they made some bad ones. I just hate that front end design. And the back. And the beltline. And the C pillar. Horrible.

Pretty rough, but pretty rare and cool too. Worth it if you want a big project. There was one of these sitting behind a house right near me for the last few years, but it seems to have disappeared. I like to think that it got moved into someone’s shop for some love.

Awwww hell yeah. That’s an easy NP, even if it does drive like a......well, like an Aerostar. Bonus point: my son loves to point out all the cars we see that have that same Ford steering wheel. They’re everywhere, from my ‘93 Grand Marquis to a Fox-body Mustang.

This is the holy pickup grail. It’s perfect. I’m right there with you, drooling on the floor of my not-nearly-as-cool vehicle. Now that being said.....I might spend about 8k on it (which is 6k more than I’d spend on most Comanches).

Yup. I’m in. Is it worth that much? Hell no. But life is too short not to drive a minivan converted to pickup status. Just do it.

I would LOVE to own this car, and I would daily drive the hell out of it. And I say this as a current brown wagon owner (‘79 Malibu, but whatever), so I believe that gives me some street cred. However, the price is approximately $2,291 too high. Reluctant CP.

Too much $$. If it was all original, yeah. But several red flags here. Plus, why are 97% of the Fox-bodies currently on CL convertibles? How did they even make that many?

Yes! I rocked an ‘89 (non-extended) blue one all through grad school. That thing was underpowered but roomy as hell. I loved it. Traded it on my first XJ (which was an ‘84 4-cylinder, and therefore even more underpowered). But the Caravan honestly was reliable, cheap, easy to drive, and could haul anything.
