The third act of the movie is predicated on Max being Max, as he’s always been. And his big idea was “let’s make a U-turn and replay the first half of this movie over again.”

Those characters have to evolve in some way to be characters rather than just archetypes.

I've given examples in other comments and made plenty of points about why I don't like the movie. Go read them and reply if you have something worth saying. Otherwise stop wasting my time.

Every character can be summed up in practically a single word.

What’s worse, is a lot of people seem to hate me for my hate for it. The thing is, I’d love to be among them. I went into this movie wanting to love it. I want to be one of the people high-fiving each other after their fourth viewing. When I heard it was getting such a great reaction I rejoiced, excited to get to the

That's fine. I just found all the characters to be flat and one-dimensional, and the action didn't seem to serve any larger purpose. By half-way through the movie I was bored and ready for it to be over.

And your spoiling for an argument, so you figure if you cast a wide enough net I'll give you something to latch onto. I'm not playing your juvenile game, so fuck off. I've made my arguments. Read them and reply if you've got something worth saying.

Uh, no. That's a dumb request, and those other movies have nothing to do with the quality of this one.

So somehow posting comments about liking things is okay, but not liking things isn’t.

No, that’s not an opinion. That's an incorrect statement of fact.

The best action movie of all time.

No, it’s an opinion. It’s literally the definition of an opinion. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it trolling.

Thanks for contributing, now shut up and let the grownups talk.

Opinions are trolling?

I still don't buy the speed of that character transition. You don't just give up that kind of devotion over the course of a couple of hours.

No, your tastes are shitty.

Fury Road proved one thing: it doesn't matter how hard and fast you drive if you don't have anywhere worth going.

Over the top becomes boring if there’s no reason to care about the characters involved. Fury Road was a two hour road trip to nowhere with a cast of cardboard cutout characters.

It was a two hour road trip to nowhere with a cast of cardboard cutouts. It was all spectacle in service of nothing. Sound and fury...no substance.

You didn’t explain anything. You took a passive aggressive shot at me and called it an argument. Take that shit somewhere else.
