A hipster enjoys being a part of a sub-culture that feels superior to the masses by virtue of being more "knowledgeable" or having better taste than they do. A hipster enjoys their hardware because it has better capabilities, sure, but that's not what makes them a hipster. They're a hipster because they believe that

I'm a PC gamer, actually. I'm just not an elitist asshole about it.

I don't have to force anything. The hipster elitism and PC elitism is a 1:1 comparison.

I would never criticize anyone that chooses other methods, though.

It's not that they're a persecuted minority. It's that some people think that they won't get a fair shake because the Hugos are too interested in promoting diversity to judge all the works on an even playing field.

That was a joke, obviously. It's called hyperbole. I guess I should know better than to be anything other than literal when talking to pedantic elitists.

And you sound like a pedantic dickbag, as I pointed out previously.

I didn't say there was anything hipster about being a PC gamer. I said being a PC elitist is equivalent to being a gaming hipster. Because it is. The mindset is 1:1 equivalent. The fact that this article isn't about an indie game has no influence on that point.

You sound like a troll. And not a good one.

Are you familiar with subjectivity, or the concept of being a pedantic dickbag?

Haven't there been reports that those pellets are carcinogenic? I read a report a while back that a lot of soccer players were developing cancer that may or may not be linked to that type of turf.

Haven't seen any of those, but I'll take your word for it that they exist. They certainly aren't as numerous as the PC hipsters.

Are you familiar with the concept of hyperbole? Or humor?

Please. The elitist attitude of hipsters toward music and music hardware is 1:1 equivalent to the elitist attitude of PC gamers toward games and gaming hardware. Right down to their worship of indie media.

I don't recall disputing that. It's just that when you brag about it you sound like a hipster (because you are). "I only listen to music on vinyl with my $300 Shure over-ear cans. The tones are warmer and richer, and the mid-tones come through more clearly. Listening to music on any other inferior hardware is just a

Nah, it's more like hipster elitism. "I only play indie games you've probably never heard of on a PC I built myself out of reclaimed, locally sourced parts."

I wonder when PC elitists will figure out that they're actually just gaming hipsters?

I don't recall the original Superman being much of a comedy. It was an adventure movie with a love interest.

That doesn't make it dark and gritty. Burton's whole thing is gothic camp.

Again, if you compare any action movie from the 80s to any television show from the 60s it's going to appear dark. Batman is no exception, so I can't understand why anyone would compare it to a television show from the 60s in the first place, at least in terms of tone. The tone of pretty much all movie and TV action
