Right, but as soon as he goes independent, expect MS to start throwing money his way. The PR coup alone would be worth whatever they pay him. He's a development rockstar with a built-in audience. Having him jump ship like that would be a huge win for MS.

I don't think the "get a divorce" is necessarily the right answer. Certainly, if all you care about is yourself, that's the right route, but life isn't as black and white as "this person is an evil user".

I never really got the love for the original game. To me the card-based system slowed down the action gameplay, and the action gameplay didn't allow for any card game strategy. It ended up being the worst parts of both genres and therefore less than the sum of its parts.
