As I understand they've removed matchmaking from some events, and taken away the ability to solo others. That's killing players' options, which is never a good idea.

343's issue was incompetence. Their game just doesn't work.
Which is why you offer your players more options to keep them playing. You don't take them away.
How much of that time was spent doing things he'd already done for the sake of grinding?
A developer who disrespects their community deserves to be disrespected right back.
That's because the game deserves every criticism and joke it's getting.
Then keep beating them down the field and getting a free 15 yards every time.
If the structure of your tournament rewards this kind of play, then that's the fault of the tournament's ruling body. You can't fault players for playing smart when there's a real incentive to lose, and you can't expect them to play hard when there's no incentive to win.
Why Why Why is anyone in this country casually walking around with a fucking handgun around their 4-year-old? Stop.
Not really. A higher barrier for entry, maybe, but Steam sales alone make up for that in the long run.
Agree to disagree, I guess.
Still seems unnecessarily accusatory.
After 15 years of....extensive research...I feel confident in saying that "the munchies" are largely mythical.
That's not how it's written in the article.
"I think if they'd talked to us earlier we could've made this work,"
And I agree, but then she goes on to say, "I think if [PAX had] talked to us earlier we could've made this work." To which I ask: "how?" Did they expect PAX to provide them extra personal security? Do they expect PAX would do that for anyone who asks? Who pays for that extra security? Is PAX supposed to…
Right, I agree with her. But in that light it make no sense to criticize PAX for not being able or willing to protect her. If she feels like she won't be safe in that setting, that's a valid concern, but it's not PAX's fault, and there's no point in pretending there's anything they could have done. It feels like a…
Uh, except they didn't give her a bare midsection, and your speculation about what they would have done is just that: baseless speculation. There's nothing actually wrong with the costume.
The only part I don't like is that they're playing it up like it's PAX's fault. It's not up to PAX to provide extra security in this situation. They have their security in place already. If Giant Spacekat doesn't think that's enough, then that's their decision to make, but don't pretend PAX has some obligation to…
I don't know if I'd call this a "PR stunt," but they'll certainly get more publicity from this than they would by showing at PAX. If they don't want to go to PAX, that's cool, but I don't like how they're trying to imply that it's PAX's fault they aren't getting extra security. If they want extra security beyond…
