I mean, the actual answer is they won’t be able to get anyone to do the job if there’s a chance they’ll fail and be fired. People are only going to be willing to sign onboard a sinking ship if there’s a guarantee they won’t go down with it when it goes.

What an ignoble end for a once great series. I think that might actually be the worst thing of all about GaaS games; once a series pivots to this type of game, you can kiss any hope of seeing a single player sequel in that series goodbye forever.

Look dude, you like a bad game. It’s really not that big a deal. If you ever thought this was about anything but you liking a bad game, well, that’s on you.

HOLY SHIT you did NOT just mention MERIT BASED HIRING PRACTICES?! HERE?!

But then how will everyone know how much of a humble ally they are?

lol imagine getting this bent out of shape over a FF game. And a bad one at that.

As we all know, devolving to insults is the real mark of a great debate argument.

Well don’t use it, then? You only need one character with the Draw command, to draw GF from some bosses. You should get the vast majority of your magic from refining items. I rarely used Draw past the first, say, 20 minutes of the game? I usually use it the first time out with Squall to get a stock of the base spells

What’s did you hate about it? Honest question, because at the start of the game it is indistinguishable from any other FF (except you set your own commands).

Well yeah, that’s a given, but I don’t count Tactics as a mainline FF game.

FF8 is, by FAR, the least grindy FF game ever made. Levels don’t matter, weapons only give limits, and stats are managed by easily amassed spells.

It’s fucking awful dude, I’m sorry you still carry a torch for the three good characters trapped in that boring ass game.

Where did I say you have to farm anything? You should have metric fucktons of most TT cards through regular battle even if you don’t use the Card command for some reason, cards turn into items, items turn into spells, and spells can be further refined into higher tier spells. You can store extra spells on characters

FF9? Oh, the one with the incredibly boring battle system that takes ten years for anything to happen in, has a cliche story that only changes things up at the very end when you fight the god of Death for no reason at all as a last boss? The one with MULTIPLE party members who have a backstory about as deep as a

Proof that people who don’t like FF8 just didn’t pay attention, there are magazines in the game that tell you EXACTLY what you need to upgrade your weapons, and the game is designed for you to get the items you need at a measured pace throughout the game (unless you specifically break it to skip to the last weapon on

I fully expect Cloud and Zack to cross swords at least once in the next game. Perhaps we’ll get a more dramatic scene where instead of resisting Sephiroth’s influence directly, Cloud is stopped by Zack and they fight there.

If someone told me to make 50 pizzas for one guy who wasn’t even paying for it I’d be pretty pissed off, to be honest.

The corporation will be fine, it’s the employees that got screwed.

I mean, it’s definitely the best of the PS1 trilogy.

Wouldn’t have been the same without Alec Holowka’s amazing soundtrack work anyway. What a shame he was driven to suicide by incessant social justice seekers harassing him for deeds past and already apologized for.
