It bothers me that it has the aesthetic (almost, it’s far too clean) of the original movie, but Chalomet’s Wonka has the same speech patterns as the execrable Depp Wonka. Hopefully that’s just the lines they chose for the trailer.

Eh...that actually sounds awful to me? Like 60% of the charm of FFT was how incredible well done the spritework is in that game. The 2D art in FFT is top tier for the time, and the animations had real weight and impact to them. It’s part of the reason I prefer FFT to Tactics Ogre, even if TO is a deeper game overall,

Y’all are doing a real disservice to Parasite Eve 1 by saying ‘eh, another re-release of the PS1 version is fine’.

Are you serious right now? You persisted in being wrong, I posted refutations of your incorrect arguments (why are you arguing on the side of a corporate behemoth anyway), gave you some advice on not being confidently wrong in the future, and instead of saying ‘yeah you were right, my bad’ your response is ‘WHY ARE

Diablo II launched day one with Battle.net integration, which used server side character saves to combat cheating, and it didn’t cost a cent. The tiniest bit of research would keep your foot out of your mouth.

The ONE comment they have on their first comment page about ‘the left’ is them complaining that the left always lets ‘the right’ control the narrative, which is true. Democrats are horrendous about messaging, by and large. Looking at the rest of their comments, they pretty obviously have a liberal mindset.

I know pre-ordering is bad or whatever but I bought this game for $30 2 years ago now and between the 30 hours I’ve spent in the first act and this article I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth already.

I’m sorry, but what? Diablo 2 servers are still running and that game certainly didn’t have a steady stream of bullshit FOMO and battlepasses for the last 20 years. It even has server side characters, before that tired old argument comes out, as if that’s not defeated by the simple fact that they DESIGNED the game to

My guy, that was the dream they tried to sell us, while in reality it was just apes.

‘Cheap’ here is relative. It will likely be a bottom tier cosmetic created specifically for the season, if other games battle passes are any indicator.

That’s 27 out of 100, most likely. And the free rewards are always gutter trash compared to the paid tier, which is ALWAYS prominently displayed right next to the free stuff, to make full usage of the FOMO concept.

I really wouldn’t use the qualifier of ‘filled with’ for the free track of any bullshit money begging battle pass. It’ll have 10 or so rewards that you easily get by playing the game anyway and the very last tier will be a cheap cosmetic item.

Even though they weren’t fun games, I was always a fan of Drakengard 1 and 3 because they were so fucking weird. Not enough games are genuinely strange.

If they increase the price, they ensure that only ‘True Fans’ will want to attend and thus the Q&A will have less people asking pesky questions about things like labor, unions, crunch, and how shitty their games have been recently.

Of course it’s Final Fantasy. But it’s not an RPG.

Oops, nevermind.

Designing a game from the ground up to be a critical darling instead of a fun escape from this shitty world is probably a bad idea if you want people to buy it as well.

Well I don’t work at R* so I couldn’t say for certain, but I’d hazard a guess that they perhaps need whatever team was testing GTAO stuff for PC to focus on testing something new that’s coming out soon instead.

GTAO doesn’t HAVE ‘paid content updates’, so I’m not sure what the fuck you think you’re talking about. GTA+ is the one bit of GTAO stuff that requires payment and it’s not available for PC players.

All that stuff still has to be tested for PC, which is notoriously finicky due to the infinite combinations of hardware. It’s probably not profitable enough to bother.
