“But these differences seem to be largely influenced by a person’s body size and composition…”

Look at clothing - men in offices (used) to wear undershirt, shirt, jacket, long pants, long sock and leather shoes. Women wear a lot less clothing and it is often of less heavy fabric then men (traditionally) wear. So a man in a suit versus a women in a sleeveless shift dress - he is going to be hot and she will be

Sports betting should have stayed illegal.

Wow, that’s the logic and reasoning of the kind of idiot that thinks you should chug bleach to save yourself from COVID.

Ask him why people never get spacial disorientation when they fly simulator aircraft. People use more than just their eyes to drive.

It’s a fine long term goal, but the image processing just isn’t there yet to do this reliably. Not to mention relying on only vision has gotten us humans in trouble (motorcycles during dusk/dawn, anyone?). Autonomy should strive to be better than humans and that encourages using added sensors to perceive things we

Even by his usual standards that’s a particularly stupid argument.

The kind of flair and the kind of hair Elon can only ever dream of achieving.

Thank goodness eyes and cameras aren't susceptible to optical illusions.

His argument last night was that the only sensors humans have to help them drive are their eyes, so Tesla only using cameras is obviously the correct move. And with logic that sound, who could argue?

Yep. Absolute Bond Villain.

I very strongly disagree with Milei on a list of issues so long, I doubt we could stand to be in the same room as each other for long, but I have to admit, he does “dangerous far-right weirdo” with the kind of flair Elon can only ever dream of achieving.

You speak of the importance of TikTok for organizing protests or other debate but forget to acknowledge that same platform can be used to quell dissent or target individuals for “re-education.” Citizen journalism is important given the corporate editorial positions various outlets opt to promote.

No, it’s about not letting a foreign advisory have complete control over an app many American citizens use to show whatever propaganda the CCP wants to show them.

Tiktok is only second to X in terms of misinformation. I’ve literally never seen a dumber user-base. Nothing of value will be lost. There are better alternatives.

That is exactly what it's about frankly. Byte Dance is under Chinese Government control by nature of their socio-economic model and they can fuck around with TikTok as much as they want legally. In the US it's different, they can complain and censor certain stuff but it doesn't compare to what China can do with

TikTok’s owners did themselves no favors when they decided to use the app to send popups to US users, calling on them to contact their representatives about stopping the bill. That act validated the fearmongering about the level of sway an app can give to foreign powers.

Yeah, it’s crazy to think the manufacturer actually put it together to show how safe it is.

Weird article. Having said that, at least in the southeast, how is the 4Runner not mentioned? There is not a single 4Runner, or just about every Toyota, that does not have some insanely overpriced dealer added junk to the sticker.

I think there’s something fishing going on with how they measure “markup” for this analysis because most of the cars on this list are readily available at or under MSRP on autotrader.
