Forget the slideshows, does anyone remember when this site used to do original reporting? This is reporting on someone else’s reporting, as is the OEM tire story, which is based on a video and was already reported on by The Drive, and probably touched on by the other automotive blogs that all serve the same audience

Weird article. Having said that, at least in the southeast, how is the 4Runner not mentioned? There is not a single 4Runner, or just about every Toyota, that does not have some insanely overpriced dealer added junk to the sticker.

I think there’s something fishing going on with how they measure “markup” for this analysis because most of the cars on this list are readily available at or under MSRP on autotrader.

I’m so close to leaving this site, the slideshows are unbearable.

Back in my 20s, I never got over 8k miles out of a set of tires. For some reason, the tires always had a sort of gooey layer of rubber on the tread that looked like it was melted. Must have been something wrong with the car and tires I had back then.

That’s true, but you could say the same about any large luxury barge made in the past 10-20 years and those don’t share this issue. Most likely the owner was driving aggressively and wore them down quickly. In terms of weight and power that car is basically a hellcat, so it’s no surprise he was able to wear the tires

or knocked the suspension out of alignment.

I just checked the wear bars on my Model 3 yesterday. I am about due... after 51000 miles.

“I felt like I knew more than they did,” Richards said.

Do you know if this is tied to a specific high market brand?

or be based around a hated of another country because they hurt our feelings.

I wonder if having an ultra-conservative government might be a contributing factor..?

The intention might be to keep her in one place until the authorities can come up with something more long-term.

Routine traffic stop might result in you being shot (depending on your skin tone) but it took the authorities here in Pierce County months to finally arrest this woman. She made no secret that she was not going to comply. I’m very happy they finally took care of it but good gawd did they take their sweet ass time.

She should have to pay the cost of her incarceration and all the legal fees up to this point.

She should be in jail for a shitload longer than 45 days.

It is insane to me that the majority of visitors now use that ugly ass new Reddit.

god I read the headline and was afraid they were getting rid of old.reddit. Regular reddit is so fucking bad, like I literally don’t understand why it exists. But I guess it follow the standard internet pattern of taking something that is simple, elegant, and useful and changing it to something ugly and hard to use.

Everything on the internet is ephemeral; eventually, greed takes down every site, every service, every game....
