Do we actually know he *entered* illegally? Plenty of illegal immigrants actually came legally; they’re classified as illegal immigrants because they overstayed their visa or permit. A wall will do nothing to stop those in that category.

It’s strange that the poll has him in striking distance despite him supposedly leading by only 11 among Hispanic voters. I would’ve thought for a Democrat to be competitive in Texas, he’d have to be leading among Hispanics by at least four times that margin, and ahead with black voters by more than 80 points, not 70.

No one who uses dehumanizing language like “rounding up illegals in my truck” and acts as if Georgia is anywhere near the border and a governor would ever have the authority to do that cares about facts or moral decency enough to draw a distinction between illegal and legal immigrants.

We should’ve expected this would happen.
