Sell it? Or if you’re good with a needle redesign. Like my grandma managed to make lace curtains, a christening gown and a bolero jacket.

Yeah, I’m just so grateful for somebody being out there and sharing their struggle. Admitting you’ve a problem - especially things that relates to mental health, is so difficult and to admit to the world like she has done is so, so brave. I’d never dare to do that. And comments like that (this one was fairly

Thank you for emphasizing this. I also think she is awesome for being so open, and it’s sad if people start to dismiss her struggles or trivialize it because public interest decreased. She still has to live with them even if public interest moves on.

Why does people usually ask irrelevant, personal and nonessential question when in disagreement? To answer a question, which you seem incapable of doing: it’s because I think you’re being an ass. And only that. But now, alas, I am disengaging. It has been a bother and unfortunately only that.

First: Congratulation!

No. Serious question: How do you feel about linguistic discrimination?

I’m happy for your feelings. My idea, I think, was clearly communicated and not disproved through this. Thank you. I’m sorry, you probably can’t google yourself to it.

Just as you’re to logic?

And you didn’t get the insult?

“Now, if it turns out the train has a history of applying noise regulations to loud, obnoxious passengers (of all races) and/or kicking them out, then I’ll gladly join the people saying this is a frivolous lawsuit and that they were kicked out for being loud and obnoxious and that it wasn’t racially motivated.”

True, you basically said that unless the Wine Train is obnoxiously racist, is the police or is “bouncing black folks” then they aren’t being discriminated against because of racism citing Ocam’s razor and Hanlon’s Twin Razors. Like how many assumptions did you need arrive at that?

Yeah, but the fact that it is hard to prove doesn’t mean it isn’t discrimination or that their lawsuit is frivolous. And nobody is suggesting a a system where rules apply only to white people.

Do you seriously think the police are the only part of our society that struggle with systemic racism?

Yeah but wouldn’t they be discriminated against no matter the intention of the train company if they were treated differently to comparable customers/passengers. And the company really shouldn’t discriminate just because they have some racist customers.

But some groups are more vulnerable to be kicked off or many companies enforce these rules solely or with more zeal against people of certain demographies. On my local bus line (in my experience as I do my commute) they apply their “noise regulations” mostly against black teens and addicts or people of similar

My cat and I’re frequent flyers of similar reasons, but he’s totally chill about it. When I take him out of the carrier for the metal detector he’s like this place is cool, lets have look around and please security pet me (and there are so many cat people working as security at airports. Like he’s totally charmed

I think it can be kinda brave to be in/lay bare one’s emotions, insecurities and bad days. Like I genuinely believe he has had a bad day and not just saying. But mostly I feel sorry for the interviewer.

That seems like a good and well considered way to do it. It wouldn’t have helped her though, as she specifically did not want general anesthesia (and in all probability it would likely not be best for her health). Do you know if they only do general anesthesia? Maybe they had made an exception?

Why do they have policies like that? To preemptively avoid bullshit like this? I accompanied a friend to her abortion once (though not at PP or the US), and I sincerely doubt she’d gone through with if she wasn’t allowed to be accompanied (although not necessarily by me) or it would have been very traumatic for her.

I’d rather just call it objectification. From what’s outlined in here it does not seem like there was a lot of thinking involved in it.
