Thank goodness for Stewart. Shit like that cannot go uncontested in today’s NHL. Sometimes fighting is necessary in today’s NHL. That may change, but as is, I’m glad Stewart is there to stand up for garbage cheap shots like this.

Boogaard had major drug issues related to injuries resulting from hockey in general, allegedly. There’s a great New York Times piece on it if you look for it. Tragic, but by god it would have been nice to have him today.

Hockey is number 1. The action is pretty constant, everyone goes ape-shit for a goal, you have a good, long pee break opportunity between periods, AND there’s always the possibility of a fight breaking out, which is when all that beer fuels a lot of screaming “YEAH PUNCH THAT FUCKING GUY IN THE FACE! Can someone explain the context a bit more? So, they played one game before this that PSG won 4-0? Also, is this like a play in game or is this some sort of tournament? Scoring 6 goals in a game is ridiculous enough, but this seems legendary?
