You know, the weird thing about Coven is that taken out of context moments like the Theramin and the Balenciaga thing mentioned above should have been awesome in a ridiculous, trashy way, but something about the season just sucked the fun out of everything. It's kind of amazing.

Ahh, that makes sense. I suppose CBS is betting that one of their midseason picks can outdo it; it'll be interesting to see what happens in that slot.

I'm actually kinda surprised that Stalker got bumped from midseason (not that I mind, since it adds to my point total); I thought it was getting relatively decent ratings? Though it's entirely possible that it cratered in the time since I last looked at how it was doing.

I couldn't for the life of my remember the Ramones song that they were talking about. My mind immediately went to "Suzy Is A Headbanger," except I didn't even get that right since for some reason I thought that Judy was the name of the titular woman.

At the very least, I gave her credit for having a story that was actually a story, unlike some of the other contestants we've had this year.

Yep, Oasis is where my mind went to first as well. Granted, the term "social phenomenon" maybe fits better with the Spice Girls, but when you say "Beatles" and "90's British Music" in one clue, Oasis seemed to me to be the obvious conclusion.

Man, the credits for AHS are fantastic. I was a bit disappointed by this year's opening sequence (I miss the old version of the theme song, dang it!), but it's still really interesting, well designed stuff.

I'm really enjoying this season so far; At the very least, it's a massive step up from Coven. Even beyond that, though, the visual design is gorgeous, the cast is mostly doing great work, and for the first time…ever, potentially, I think they've put together some legitimately disturbing sequences in the midst of all

Wait, that actually happened? Because that sounds hilarious.

That was what I was thinking too.

Given that the actor playing Stuart is playing the lead in a different sitcom sometime next year (I think?), this might actually be as good a time as any to subtly write him off of the show.

Yeah, I went for Three Blind Mice as well. Though in retrospect Ten Little Whatevers was probably the more obvious answer.

Didn't know that. On the one hand, I imagine that our comparatively small population makes it difficult to justify renewing anything based on Canadian viewership. On the other hand, with ratings getting lower across the board, our relatively small numbers may be enough to sway things one way or another during edge

I find it interesting that superhero content seems to be doing even better (comparatively) up here than in the states, while shows like HTGAWM seem to be settling in a bit lower on the charts.

Yeah, I've been considering giving it a shot due to the positive hype around the pilot. It was just such an odd, off-putting premise that I couldn't imagine how it'd work.

That makes sense; thanks for the info.

I have a question about midseason: do we select a new slate of shows, or are we just adjusting our current picks? I haven't done this before, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.

I'm really hoping for Bones to clear out this year, since I screwed myself over by choosing Jane the Virgin (seriously, how did that not crash and burn?) and Stalker. Given that my other returning series pick was The Mindy Project, I guess I've inadvertently bet my prospects on Fox having some faith in its upcoming

Exactly the same with me; Origins was by far the better game, but DA2 might be the BioWare's peak from a storytelling perspective.

Oh my gosh, that fucking glider. I very nearly just quit the game then and there because of how terrible it controlled. Though, I should note that I seem to have a lower opinion of Brotherhood than most. ACII is one of my favourite games of the last generation; Brotherhood did nothing for me, which is odd since
