Good to know. It'll be interesting to see how (and if) that has an effect on the game.

Are we at the point yet where the current contestants would have seen Arthur's run? I would have thought that at least someone would have tried the same strategy by now, but these may have been filmed further in advance than I had thought.

I probably wouldn't have gotten the NCR one anyway, but all I could think of was the New California Republic from Fallout, which really screwed me up.

I too was rooting for Pierre; he seemed like a nice person, and had put out some good food in previous rounds. That being said, I completely understood the decision to get rid of him last episode, and to be honest if they hadn't it would've been a bit suspect.

Yeah, Chopped Canada is fine, but I find the American cast much more interesting. Plus, they seem to get the more interesting baskets, for whatever reason.

I figure this is as good a place as any to ask: anyone else watching Top Chef Canada? I think it's officially moved onto the (very) short list of Canadian shows that I like more than their American counterparts, though the romantic subplot between the two chefs whose names I can't bother to remember drags things down

I wasn't sure if I had read that correctly at first; I spend a bit of time over at TV By the Numbers, where a 2.0 is considered pretty great, so seeing those old ratings really throws into perspective how much things have changed over the decades.

I could see FX doing this kind of thing, since American Horror Story utilizes a similar(ish) structure and has been a great success for them. The only question is if they would do it, given that it would be a more risky proposition then a lot of the dramas that they've got lined up.

I'm shocked that Frederique managed to win a second game. I was sure after that first day that she would be out immediately once she faced a decent competitor (which EA seemed to be for a while there).

I just wanted to say that I find it odd that Mother Up is a Canadian series, but premiered in the USA several months before it started airing here. Not that I watch it, but I remembered seeing ads for it on American shows a while before it started on City.

Yeah, that was definitely an uncomfortable moment.

Exact same thing happened to me. And then I spent a good few minutes trying to figure out how, exactly, flute had more than one syllable.

This is the one that I had learned about, which is why the question confused me. I did end up guessing the peace sign out of a lack of other options, but still, it seemed like an odd choice.

I don't know about MK64, but Yoshi was always my go-to driver in MKDS.

That's definitely true. It's actually an interesting effect that seems to be lost on the major devs, outside of a couple of big names like Kojima and Sid Meier.

I'll be playing GTA IV's "The Lost and Damned" DLC. So far it's decently entertaining, though the characters are extremely obnoxious to the point that I might stop playing if things don't pick up soon.

Completely agree. Plus, I think any extension of the plot would ruin the wonderfully melancholy note that it went out on.

Completely forgot about Save the Date. That one should definitely stand on its own.

Thomas Was Alone. Both because the plot was resolved rather perfectly, and because I imagine the mechanics would get tiresome stretched over an entire new game.

Did anyone else see the segment on her on The Soup last week? It really brought home how odd her whole persona was.
