Happy Friday! I hope terrible, terrible things happen to you.

Well, y’see, it IS actually completely different than stealing. A plane ride has a cost. A copy of a digital file has none. You cannot compare the taking of a tangible good or service versus the copying of a digital file. They are completely different things.

If you steal a physical item, there is an associated loss

But space battles...and a legit single player game. *sniff* It’s just they had all this time, and I got half a game and the DLC is kinda a joke (here’s two new maps and some stuff that shoulda been in the game to begin with- whoopty shit!) and it’s like not really Star Warsy... It’s a re-skinned Battlefield, it’s

There’s probably enough people saying “I’ll wait for the NX” that the sales are probably slow enough where at this point they could stop production.

No company would admit it until they stop production. However, companies do stop production ahead time to prepare for what’s next, especially when their current product isn’t doing well.

You literally just described the Virtual Boy experience, if it had actually affected Nintendo.

Business suicide is a bit of a stretch.

I get this error .

I get this error .

I can’t help but wonder why you seem to be so personally invested in the failure of VR.

I agree. If the Oculus Rift were a standalone device, its $600 price tag would be just right. You’d be paying for a VR console. But that obviously isn’t the case. And I think the fact that PlayStation VR is a peripheral that’s more expensive than the console it runs on is going to be baffling to a lot of consumers.

You know what could combat VR apathy? Reasonable pricing. I’m not talking about reasonable from the point of view of the manufacturer. I’m talking about reasonable from the point of view of the consumer. In my opinion, PlayStation VR needs to be $200 (including the camera) in order for it to really explode. At that

And those prices were notably lower than VR.

Different places, different realities, mate.
400 dollars is roughly 1400 Reais. That’s almost double what most people make a A MONTH down here. And i’m not even counting taxes. Add up to 80% to that value. AND don’t forget retailers profit margins that around here (the land of scoundrels) can be up to 300% without even

If this is sarcasm (I think it is, but I’m not 100% sure) then feel free to ignore the response. As I said, I’ve tried the VR experience using Oculus Rift and it is cool, but it’s not a “shift in the entire paradigm” (again makes me think you’re being sarcastic), ultimately these are the same games we’ve been playing

From my perspective, the VR trend is pretty cool and i understand people wanting to push for more complete experiences in gaming.
However, from where i stand, it’s just so expensive, it’ll be hard for most people to enjoy it. And that to me makes me question all the effort put into it.
It’s not a cheap technology. How

So I’ve tried VR games/demos several times now, and I still don’t give a damn. Now what are you gonna tell me?

I’ve tried it and it’s neat...but the fact is that:

My apathy has more to do with the bulky apparatus. Until they get to the point where I’m not strapping some heavy weight to my head with a tiny screen inches away from my eyeballs, I’ll pass. I care more about the health of my neck and eyes rather than playing these gimmicky games.

If they want me to be interested they’ll have to do better than having a couple of showpieces and the pricetag of a console or mid-range PC.

it's not 1995 anymore, so yes, they do.
