Nope. It wasn't his choice; He served the portal and it is the one who told him not to deliver the finishing blow on Jack when he would have just killed him. The idea was that Jack may be destined to return someday, but not until he had become the warrior king the portal showed.

I like that right off the bat people's concerns & assumptions about them having sex was put off for another week by confirming it was only a kiss (and only Jack's second since he was like 8 it seems). People may still have issues with or hate the storyline, but at least that's one big load off people's minds…for

I think I like it here better, this is why A.V. Club is desperate for snark.Script rewrites.

Still holding out hope that he will appear in the new season but with that same stock shot of him with the rope in his teeth. The man hasn't moved.

And the guy who seemed to be in charge of staff at the Great Northern who gives Audrey a talking to when she wants a job there, he's in a few.

She IS coming back, apparently! I really hope it's just as small of a role as last time, the same exact joke and there's no good reason for be there other than Lynch found it hilarious.

Yeah, there's a HUGE amount of characters, continuity, mystery, emotion and surrealism and most episodes blend together like a soap opera so skipping to the "concluding season" would be…….um……pointless as it will be downright confusing.

Oh yeeeah, forgot about those since I try to forget that season. But you're right!

It's mostly polite at first and he seems clueless for most of it but he gives her a look and there's a couple lines that show that he was starting to enjoy her company.

Huh, you do make a fair point about The Doctor's appearance in this. When was the last time they did a "Doctor-lite" episode? Season 4? It could be interesting to try it out one more time, but for creative reasons instead of scheduling.

The nude bit made me give and audible "Oh brother" but I'm *sorta* relieved at the possibility of a new, cooler outfit. Maybe like the old one…but actually clothes this time. With pants and everything. Or her own set of robes?

Ah okay, I had wanted to specify but didn't know if that was talking too much!

I agree to an extent but I'll defend the choice mostly in that at least two (arguably three) episodes of past seasons hinted that a relationship with a woman is something he wanted but missed out on or thought he didn't deserve. Like, I'll defend this idea in theory, for this show, at the moment if nothing else.

Yeah, Dexter's second voice actor (from the non-Genndy seasons and the theatrical short he did) Candi Milo is thankfully alive, well and working though.

…..yes.

Everyone's noting the Zoidberg connection with the walrus, but I was actually thinking with that Scandinavian accent it could've been a reference to the Woody Woodpecker character Wally Walrus who Billy West ALSO played back in the 90s. Given Genndy's love of old cartoon in-jokes, I'm leaning towards it!

Yeah! The music video version also starts with a funny/spooky vocalization of the "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" theme that transitions into the music and I always wish it was on the album!

Would the last big one in that style be Independence Day, right after it was spoofed with Mars Attacks? It feels like Roland Emmerich is the last guy trying for the "packed full of stars" disaster movie, like with 2012.

And the first three Muppet Movies! But I can see where the idea comes from, it can feel like it's overcompensating or resting on "look, a famous person!" instead of actual jokes or situations. But it *can* work! I guess when it doesn't it just seems louder and cheaper.

Wow, that actually makes perfect sense and is a really Star Trek-y concept but is usually only done with one-off outsiders and settler. I would've watched that show!
