I do not know a ton about extrude honing, but I also had never heard of it used for anything other than porting.

Thank you for a proper explanation of the process. I am familiar with the process and am glad someone even more knowledgeable chimed in to explain it properly.
Good info, thanks!
Came here to say this, haha....I don’t think the word cleaning describes a port/polish via extrudehone....
I put a Vortech fan in my intake and it added a LOT and a LOL! Whee!!!
Yes - underappreciated is that the cutting action of the material is tied to the amount of shear. Discontinuities and narrowing increase shear, so it removes material quicker in those areas and less everywhere else, making it a self-regulating system. I have to admire the initial observations that led to creating this…
Finally, someone serious who knows what they are talking about!
We extrudehoned an engine we were using in a propane vehicle competition in college. I don’t remember the dyno numbers, but the gain was substantial & impressive. Possibly the single most effective engine upgrade we made.
So do they need to make new material each time or can it be reused? Extrude honing is well known to make good power but its not cheap and is definitely one of the last things that would need to be done to gain power from an engine.
I remember seeing those ‘evo’ kits for the mirage for sale in the back of early-aught sport compact mags.
Oh looked they filled it with all the $30K model 3's they’ll ever make
It makes sense that a futuristic Tesla parking garage has no cars in it. It fits a Twilight zone kind of story: Tesla finally completes a major project in giving ample charging spots but delivery/logistics issues don’t go away so there are no cars available to park in them.
Looks like they will still have production issues in the future too!
So Tesla thinks parking garages of the future will be empty?
Makes as much sense as putting a gas pump at every space.
I can only imagine what that garage’s breaker panel must look like!
Can anyone explain to me why it’s culturally acceptable in legalized-weed states to be high whenever the fuck you want? At work? No problem. Driving a 4000lb car? Go for it. At a children’s birthday party? Why not!

Epoxy+primer(with clearcoat)+a tastefull wrap=acheapcoolsportscar
That’s just stoopid... a spoonful of epoxy plaster and a retouch, and it will buff out!
