I really don’t understand why people are upset about this. It seems like a good idea. The only complaint seems to be that Trump is the president who has to issue the order. That’s just dumb. Someone else was president before him, and someone else will be president after.

Like the left has tried to invalidate the elections while wearing their “spoiler alert: Hillary Wins” shirts. While they sat there engorging themselves on their supposed accolades hounding everyone else to accept the vote resaults when they came in. Yet incapable of accepting them themselves when it didnt turn out

You assume wrong.  The president has no control over the text message; that is sent out by FEMA.

That is the measured and reasonable reaction to an national emergency service test.

Do you lose your shit at the thought of Bill Clinton or Keith Ellison texting you?  Dr. Ford’s story is falling apart, yet documented proof exists for Bill’s and Keith’s actions and they get a pass?  Wait...it’s coming back to me now...You kicked a puppy!  Don’t deny it.  Prove I’m wrong.  Prove you didn’t kick a

My favourite part of this is left wingnuts having a meltdown because the president is sending a text message. The same people that would want him impeached if they didnt get a text message if there was a national emergency.

The most hilarious (and sad) thing about this is people are SO hateful and deranged about trump that they are turning off the alerts that save the lives of abducted children and inform you of what to do in a disaster. to avoid a government beep associated with him. Fucking. Crazy. Even if most of them turn it back on,

This is nice and all but did they mention at any point that there will be an option for a loudener that will make our electro-rotary contraption sound like a rotary should (a beehive full of chainsaws that is burning oil)

has fewer moving parts than a conventional piston engine, helping with maintenance and longevity

Mazda winds up to take another swing at the dead horse.

Will the electric motors be able to be used to “De-flood” the engine?

Hmmmm...

Lets use one of the dirtiest and least reliable (or most reliable to require very expensive repairs like clockwork) engine technologies in history, to add extended range properties to a vehicle that is intended to be a benefit to the environment! And even better it’s Retro!

are they going to also include a normal engine to extend the life/range of the rotary one?

Why not go all out? Forget the Wankel, how about a TRUE rotary engine. Spraying oil everywhere and getting rebuilt every couple weeks? That’s just part of the character.

That’s kinda a strange combination, don’t rotaries burn lots of oil?

I think that mild hybrids would be excellent after market addition FWD cars. Have a standard FWD like a GTI or a civic type R, and add electric power to just the rear wheels to assist in launch and low RPM power. It could easily be a light weight system that is unobtrusive to install privided you just have the right

my tuition is 5 times that...

More than a year’s tuition? More like a third to a quarter of one year’s tuition.

Hold on, a year of college tuition for only $14k?

I refer to that as the “braille system” method of driving.  It’s pretty damn scary how many people on the road have their head down looking at their phone instead of paying attention to the 4000+ lb missile of death that they are piloting.
