My God that ending. Straight from a B- to a B+.

I would've found it more entertaining if they'd just turned things down a notch. Five intense people jabbering just got on my nerves. I wouldn't be too concerned with going back to it if you missed it.
The eps where they just scream at each other get tiresome fast. C
Excellent rebound from last week.
Except for Bakula, totally lame.
A-? Are people starting to forget how good the show used to be?
Not as good as their other nautical themed episodes, but not bad.
Ah, so I find the eleventh season of a show poor after watching the previous ten, and suddenly I have no sense of humour. Wonderful.
NFR = non-fanboy reasoning.
I've stuck with it all the way guys (despite not airing in my country) and I'll probably see it to the end. Shows evolve, but this one's gone off the deep end, and not necessarily in a good way. This ep's concept was good but they're pushing a bit hard for laughs.
C-, and it only gets that because of the kidnapped girl's rack. This is Sunny in its death throes.
Nah, no good. Sunny can get manic, but combine that with first person camerawork and drug trips - I start to get queasy. Not that funny either (Frank's secondary urine bucket notwithstanding).
The dog thing didn't sit well with me. Like the guy self-immolating under cult suggestion last season, it's cheap. It's funnier when the gang try to do good and still end up causing ruination, or resort to desperate measures to salvage something. I'm going to have to pretend that Mac really was zoned out to enjoy…
Didn't they convince a guy to set himself on fire in a particularly bad episode last season?
Doesn't hold a candle to 13. That album, unbelievably, just got better and better as it went along. This one peaks early and drags through side B. Still not bad though. Pitchfork got it about right. 7/10.
I'll watch Sunny the way I read Stephen King from here - out of loyalty. I don't mind ridiculous, but glue huffing and alcoholism can only explain so much. I mean the manslaughter of Dax is hard to look past. The strongest eps are grounded in some kind of reality, which is why I vote Psycho Pete as the season's best.
My reaction was similar. A few chuckles, but the tone seemed off - I guess that happens when the episode is more of an experiment. Even considering that, Mac and the Reynolds siblings just seemed kind of annoying. Sunny has a good habit of rebounding - I hope that happens next week. C+
