Nah, it IS easy, we just make it complicated because we start from the position that everyone’s beliefs are inherently worthy of being respected.

They aren’t. I don’t care if that makes me sound uncaring. But it’s the 21st goddamn century and this superstitious bullshit and the kowtowing we do for it has got to fucking

It seems pretty easy to me; your sincerely held religious beliefs don’t give you the right to discriminate against others, or to get someone else to do so on your behalf. And if those beliefs mean you’re incapable of doing your job, you get to find a new job.

This is not the same situation. Both parties are customers. One customer is receiving preferential treatment and harassing the other customer (who did nothing wrong) simply because of his religious views. They could have moved the man and then both parties’ rights would have been satisfied.

There was nothing fake about her pop-country career, and it is ridiculous to knock someone for having different accents at different times.

omg i hate when 15 year old girls with talents do things to help further their careers and then when they get successful and therefore can negotiate more power over their brand and artistry, try a new direction with their music after like 10 years. fuckin bitches.

Years ago Taylor won an award at one of the major award shows. She was less high profile at the time so she was sitting further back. Kesha was seated in an aisle seat. As Taylor was walking up to the stage to get her award she stopped and hugged Kesha. There both from Nashville, Kesha’s mom is a country songwriter,

Exactly. I’m not even a Taylor Swift fan, but the crap and criticism she receives is getting ridiculous. I’m sure, with legal fees, that $250,000 must be VERY helpful right now.

My impression was that Kesha’s mom made the info public first and then the spokesperson followed up. Other blogs mentioned that Taylor was the maid of honor at a childhood/high school friend’s wedding this weekend. If that were me, I'd tell my staff to address it and focus on my loved ones.

Kesha’s mom made the announcement via twitter

Demi’s kinda being an a-hole, tbh.

The idea that successfully holding down a job and making rent entitles you to complete freedom from perceiving the unhappiness of others is so breathtakingly narcissistic.

I go to IU, and I know that many people have spoken out for years about his mishandling of cases. He would show favor toward the accused, and there was a lot of victim blaming. He was not a well liked guy.

Just to say, I don’t think P. Wilson is one such attractive man given how comfortable he is playing villainous creeps.

Agreed. I mean, she’s not my cup of tea. At the Mitch Connor music awards things would have looked a little different, but this sounds a little like, “How dare a woman take credit for her own success?” which is never a good look.

But why can’t Taylor stand up for herself? I’m sure if it was one of us we would’ve done the same thing up on that stage and maybe not as nicely either.

there seem to be genuine lessons to learn from their story. Wondering what you are objecting to.

The father probably feels like he could be helping others by sharing his regret. I am not sure how much it will help, but if it makes him feel better in this awful time, why not?

Ha!

Regular reminder- Getting kicked out of school is not something you need a jury for. He has done something serious enough to be charged with a crime. You do not have a right to an education at the college of your choosing. The police rarely charge people without mountains of evidence, so right away, the odds are that

Australian authorities can place restrictions on passports of dual-nationality holders if they fail to pass certain good behaviour checks. If it's going to be tested on dual-nationality holders performing charity work/visiting family in the Middle East, then it should damn well be tested on those using travel to
