Agree with this. There is no need to shit all over Backdraft. It was a huge movie that a lot of people liked and a technical marvel. It was a serviceable story with great actors, but the star was the practical fire effects, which were truly unique. They were new and bold at the time, and basically no one does them…

While this sequel sounds dire, I don’t really understand the need to shit upon the original. It was a decent, if not spectacular, movie that millions of people remember fondly. That’s the point of this cash-grab.

Too on the nose? Undeniable.

I have a cassette player that I love, in the kitchen. I really like listening to cassettes because of the parameters.

Comedy sequels are almost always viewed as dismal failures and an exercise in diminishing returns, but I love Wayne’s World 2.
