I would like to use this as an opportunity to promote Peaky Blinders on Netflix because it is awesome as fuck. Hardy plays a the head of London’s early 20th century Jewish gangs. I am giddy with excitement every time he is on the screen because he rocks the shit out of the role.

I have Burner friends who are far from rich who have been going for years. They go to disconnect and explore art and kink and all sorts of things. I would never want to go (couldn’t ever deal with the dust and dirt) but I see the appeal of a community of like minded souls where nobody scorns you for your

You’re right— I was being harsh. I would say more, though, that a conversation between two people who disagree on how much it should be ($15 vs $12) is a very different conversation. We all agree that something has to be done, but weighing a living wage for workers vs what is economically viable for small businesses (w

I’ve had the same thing happen, getting bitched at for saying $11-12 would be more reasonable. Then I explain that, in my estimation at least, that’s the ultimate goal, not $15. Whomever started the “Fight for 15” movement had to know that it’s probably not going to happen, it’s just a starting negotiating position.

You would think instead of tweeting their ignorance they would just, you know, look her up on wikipedia or something...Hey kids: those shiny devices are also computers!

A few things:

1)The readers are not “industry professionals”, they’re usually college kids or assistants making some extra cash writing notes for the academy. More often than not they’re wannabe writers themselves.

Helicopter wife said “yes” when he asked. But then decided she was pissed he went and started a huge fight anyhow.

I heartily agree that “hero” is wildly overapplied to military members in general, but to be fair, in the instant case the guy has a Silver Star and four other valor awards, plus a starred Combat Infantryman Badge, so it’s not as though he was a career desk pilot.

I have never heard that. Not saying it’s not true, but never heard it. In fact, if it is true, then it’s even more sad she thought that way.

“There is a lot of low hanging fruit if they had time and money to add in training. Instead, hundreds of millions are going to universities that think of themselves before any victims.”

The Vulture article says that the drink fling was invented, or rather that Dee Barnes (nor anyone else) has ever mentioned her throwing a drink on him.

Dave’s not here, man.
