People are simple. They see a Rotary winning, and they see that the regulations were changed afterwards. What they don’t see (or ignore) that all other engines that ran up until 1991 were also banned. The Flat Six Turbo ran by Porsche, the Turbo V8s of Nissan and Mercedes, the 7.0L V12 of Jaguar were all made

Why would they ban rotaries if they were never actually competitive? Their one big fluke victory came by Reliability of all things.

But Holden at this point is nothing more than a badge stuck on a variety of vehicles built by other, higher volume GM divisions. Australia is a small market anyway, so local production volumes were always going to be low.

Interesting indeed. One should think that a box truck like this would only be used for urban delivery since there is no trailer to worry about on city streets but that would defeat the point of the sleeper. On long distance routes the Small Box makes the whole contraption uneconomical.

May I remind you that all european OTR trucks have to adhere to the same size restrictions, they are all equally terrible at navigating narrow european streets.

This Victoria belongs to a private collection. Since there is no such thing as a type certificate for cars this old, it is effectively registered as a one-off. The owner is also for insurance reasons not allowed to drive it in fog or darkness due to its completely inadequate 1896-spec lighting and brakes etc.

Jeez the thing hasn’t even been built yet and people are already complaining on a ridiculously high level.

Thats because Audis fifteen years from now will look pretty much the same as they do today. Revolution isn’t a thing Audi design does.

Because 15 years ago he worked at Audi, and Audi 15 years ago was the gold standard for innovative and bold design.

Consider that, from an outsiders perspective, all they see is a grand number of compact to mid size cars and crossovers which are all FWD with the most powerful engine being a 1.6. I can see how someone might get the impression that a 1.6 FWD family car is just boring.

No love for the 407 either.

Peugeot has a pretty good track record with mid-sized coupes, in an alternate world where coupes are profitable they could use the Alfa Platform to realize a new one, as long as Pininfarina gets to do the styling.

PSA is the only one capable of killing Chrysler. The last time PSA and Chrysler merged, the Chrysler part was quickly killed off and only the manufacturing facilities survived. That and a semi-orphaned car with Peugeot 205 doors.

I don’t know man, the Rover SD1 was a cheap(ly built) hatchback of the late 1970s, and it had a V8!

Plot twist, it’s an ID

I am biased, but so is everyone else. I’d take a Truck with Roadtrain-style bull bars, because a) they look dope and b) they are durable enough to withstand multiple hits from livestock or other heavy organisms. My Truck of choice would be a 1980s Scania Cabover, tough as nails, old school construction means it can

Interesting comparison considering Lamborghini’s origins.

It is a Dangel system (you know the guys that made lifted 4x4 Peugeots since the 1980s). Part time 4WD with a viscous coupling and an optional rear locking differential. You can get their 4WD systems on all PSA group Vans.

It is in fact a diesel, manual, 4x4 Van with a rear locking differential.

I have driven a bunch of trucks, the largest of which being semis w/ trailer.
