I agree that he should have reacted differently, but they don’t exactly teach deescalation tactics to people just because they’re athletic and large.

I think they are both at fault but I understand and respect your perspective. I also agree that he overreacted. She isn’t a young child, she’s an adult woman who should have some responsibility (and I mean legally, not the actual physical attack he responded with).

I understand your frustration and often feel it myself. I don’t really have a worthwhile answer for you. Unfortunately it seems that politics and governing have a cyclical nature and have through out history, even back to antiquity. My hope is that with each cycle we get a little more refined and learn at least…
