Mueller hasn’t turned up “diddly shit.” He’s got guilty pleas, indictments. He’s hiring more prosecutors. He’s substantiated wide swaths of the Steele dossier. Russia fatigue is completely understandable but what’s also important to remember is that there has never been an investigation like Mueller’s. Ever. The

This is so important to remember. People wonder how Trump keeps getting away with what he’s doing. It’s vital to remember that Trump and Chuck Schummer were pretty close, politically and socially speaking, for a very long time. The podcast crank call showed just how comfortable Trump is with schmoozing people like Bob

An evil burrito, if you will.

Underrated comment.

Are we the “most powerful” laughingstock in the world if Russia has us over a barrel?

I’m not engaging with ad hominem bullshit.

The point of the larger argument about fighting Kavanaugh isn’t people saying “Oh if we could just do XYZ, we’ll definitely win!” People want to see Democrats do something to differentiate themselves from Republicans. It’s why there’s majority support for Democrat issues but not for Democrats specifically.

“There’s probably a good argument to be made that being overzealous in attempting to stall would just provide Republicans with the necessary political cover to shove Kavanaugh through that much faster.”

Because if Democrats don’t try to stall, Republicans might . . . forget to install Kavanaugh before the midterms?

Because Democrats can only walk OR chew gum, not both at the same time. Besides, if you want to protect voting rights, women’s rights, etc. the probability of success in fighting for the Supreme Court is low but the value in an (admittedly unlikely) victory is immense. Ask McConnell about that.

Yeah. Spencer’s like . . . a flesh-eating bacteria. Rare but will absolutely devour the infected. Tucker’s the flu, slowly infecting people nationwide.

Hey, don’t judge people on how they launder their money!

She responded like someone who is running for President would, which I’m really crossing my fingers for.

Scott Pruitt is so inept, backwards and ill-intentioned in every goddamned thing he does that I would suggest encouraging him to “bless” Trump as much as possible.

I think it’s probably this. Trump and his people don’t care about corruption at the EPA. Anything that slows down the EPA is good, from their perspective. But if it turns out that Pruitt could be a source for obstruction-of-justice evidence, he’s got to go away very quickly.

True. The Garland theft happened in early 2016. To the average uninformed voter that might as well have happened under the Ford administration.

Y’all need to get a grip on reality. We know that Gorsuch is a strict constitutionalist with exactly one caveat: that there is a fundamental right to “life” that applies to fetuses. He will vote to overturn Roe. We know that Thomas would vote to do it. If Trump puts in someone like Barrett, who would almost certainly

Is the “corrupt individual” Scott Pruitt, Jeff Sessions, or Donald Trump? Because that really doesn’t narrow it down.

I don’t think it’s likely he’s going to do it before the mid-terms on purpose, both for fear of comparisons to Comey and the fact that he’s also a Republican. But we know that he intends to make public conclusions about the “obstruction of justice” portion of the investigation some time this summer. We also know he

Democrats can’t even bring themselves to rally around abolishing ICE or impeaching Trump. But if a Democrat presidential candidate had “extraditing the Trump administration en masse to the Hague to stand trial” as a plank of their campaign, that’d be great.

I’m only going to be excited about this if Rian Johnson gets a co-writer this time. TLJ is a movie full of interesting ideas hobbled by poor writing.
