That's not what she was doing. First, she was saying don't give into violence. Spend money on a business run by a race or religion these guys would hate. The second part ,where she ate cake was a deep dive into the psyche of everyone right now as they watch this train wreck of an administration. Like a lot of people

COMEDIC TALE OF THE TAPE
Ray Romano 6'2"
Peter Boyle 6'2"
Chris O'Dowd 6'3"
Brad Garrett 6'8"
In the old days over 6'5" was a giant, so Brad Garrett is technically a giant!

Except that was a bluff.

Yeah, Perkins missed the point that they're the same guy when it comes to mistreating women. Also, the people in the first sketch were from Kentucky not West Virginia. And by B+ he meant to write A-.

PAYS to do open mics.

I think it's less an Apatow device and more true to Pete Holmes, who has a lot of Youth Minister in him.

And the Prime Minister of Greenland!

Diane Keaton gets Most Underrated. For her whole career.

I thought that one was John XXIII. He was a sweetheart!

And the Madonna saying she would always protect "The Boy" even if though he had become a man.

The Archbishop confessed his crimes pretty directly and threw himself on the "mercy" of the court (Lenny). In reality, he would turn him over to the authorities (and Ketchikan is actually a lovely place). But this is somewhat surrealistic TV show, so Papal Siberia is standing in for justice.

The church has changed its policy. It doesn't just shuffle them any more.
Hopefully.

I think the stuffed animals are because Gutierrez is a victim of abuse too. That is why the Madonna said even though he was a man now, she still looks after "the boy."

Sighs. Oh John Paul I…you were going to be a great one!

Excuse me…Cherry Diet Coke ZERO.

This was a really great stand-up special. I didn't realize Pete's comedy had as much depth to it. Most stand-up comes from a really angry, hurt place. But this was really a very fun argument on the need for fun and joy as an under appreciated part of our life. A unique, welcome and really funny perspective. Damn funny.

DISAGREE WITH THE RAVES
1. Everything with the humans at headquarters felt so overwrought and dull. All the robots were amazing. But the humans…not so much. Too many scenes about infighting and office politics that were a bore.
2. Did it ALL have to be so LEFTOVERS heavy? The movie had a great wry sense of humor to it

Really funny episode. Went from a D last week to an A-.

Or Season 3 of Parks and Recreation. Soooooo damn strong!

Season 2 gets pretty good, pretty quick. Once they ended the hole nonsense, and Andy stopped stalking Anne, the show became great. Season 3 is amazing.
