I’d say that this is plausible except for 1 massive deal breaker, and that being that snoke was a hologram in episode 7. Why would a ghost need to hologram project himself ? I do like the idea of a dark side ghost.

They really can’t break away from the skywalkers now without completely undermining the original trilogy. If anakin was supposedly the strongest Jedi ever and Luke defeated him, you would have to assume Luke is the strongest Jedi. Episode 1 and all its midichlorian bullshit pretty much locked that down.
