That’s one way of looking at it, I suppose. Another way of looking at it is as a show of self-suppression.
Aw shit. I thought they were the “good” kind of fat like almonds. Damn. Now all I can think of is baby and I’m so far from my next cheat day.
Agreed. It’s a level of self control which I find reassuring in someone who may soon have access to nuclear launch codes
I would need this sized mug if I had the same scrutiny in my life as Hillary Clinton.
If that isn’t a show of strength I don’t know what is.
This is actually really depressing. We’re finally watching the OJ thing on FX and my first thought seeing her pining for the cake was Marcia Clark and all the abuse she got for her clothes/hair/being a woman. :/
you still going nowhere. $34 a class?? seriously?? it’s like another cult of crossfit.
“Christ, what an asshole.”
Is politics the only career path where the better at it you get, the more people see that as a drawback?
I know so many people who are evangelical about Sanders. I have to assume that they don’t understand that being the president doesn’t mean you get to pass whatever laws you want. Obama fought for years for the Affordable Health Care Act. No way Sanders can get a majority GOP congress to pass anything he is campaining…

I’m starting to think that Elizabeth Warren is the go-to hypothetical for people who want to defend against sexism in this election. Everyone says they would vote for her! She isn’t running, so it’s very easy to say that.
So this is what it looks like when journalists finally start vetting Sanders, huh?
She was for subway tokens before she was against them.
Guys imagine if HRC had said something about fucking subway tokens.
Not pictured: the Gap Kids ad from just a few years ago wherein a black model was using a white model as an armrest in almost the exact same pose.
Well, kinda yes, kinda no. Primaries are still beholden to the Voting Rights act; the federal government CAN bring constitutional authority to primaries. And sometimes “primaries” are run by either the party, or the state government, so that muddles it further. States can also determine the rules within themselves,…
She is SO very very good. I’m not really surprised I suppose but it makes me deeply skeptical of the mechanisms of power behind the daily show that apparently didn’t even consider her for the job of host.
