I also forgot the new Star Trek theme as being distinctive, hummable, and adventurous:
What, no love for the Captain America March?
I think the Captain America theme is fantastic. It evokes the music of the period and is wonderfully appropriate. Just changing the tempo on it changes how it plays. And it makes a reappearance in The Avengers at the most dramatically appropriate time.
Weird. First thing I did upon reading the title of this article was exclaim “oh S***. Good point”
Then immediately realised I knew the Wonder Woman “Is she with you” riff from Batman V Superman and sing it in a horrid squeaky squeal before putting it on to play.
I think the first two Captain America movies had good music. I can hum the “Star-spangled Man with the Plan” in my sleep, while Winter Soldier’s “Take a Stand” music is something that got stuck in my head and I can hum along with.
