"Hey Cosmo! Call me a cab!"
"Alright, you're a cab!"

The episode with Zach Galifinakis giving haircuts on air is a good a place as any.

You realized that you just happened to be dating the prince of darkness?

"Impeccable Blah's" was a big record for me in College. Hopefully this one is back up to that standard.

Were you using an offset flying V into two 100-Watt JMP's into some honky-ass celestions?

A Distortion+ can only do so much.

It's an album that has its spots. "Written in Reverse" is an astoundingly good song.

Yeah, by far my favorite song of all time. In my majorly depressed days in college I spent an entire evening drinking by myself, watching the Stop Making Sense performance of this on repeat. There was another evening of this, but spent in dark listening to "Goodbye, Sky Harbor" by Jimmy Eat World on repeat.

Wait, seriously? You don't put Houses of the Holy in the top 5 essential Zeppelin records? I thought everyone had agreed that it was the pinnacle.

I saw REM on their last tour of the US with Modest Mouse and The National opening. For the encore Johnny Marr came out and played "Pretty Persuasion" and "Man on the Moon" with them.

Funny, I think Fables is the trough. Right between the pinnacle of Reckoning, and the outstanding Life's Rich Pageant.

They were delicious.

Holy shit. I remember watching and playing this as a kid. There were many hours in the basement of my neighbor's house playing this and Heroquest.

Oh we're absolutely a no-name band, so no offense taken.

and a live video to show that we don't suck.

Added in a link to it, we're called The Sharp Shadows.

AV Club Staffers, you've never heard of my band, but I want to formally petition to be a part of Undercover. There are at least ten songs on this list we would love to do. We're based on the east coast and will drive to Chicago with no other shows planned JUST to do this.

I'm with you there. I can listen to about half of Doolittle (Monkey Gone To Heaven is a kick-ass jam) but they're one of those bands who I respect more for having influenced bands that turned out far better than them.

This will make me some enemies. Neutral Milk Hotel.

I'm in total agreement. I listen to "Is This It?" and just think "I guess these guys were bored on a Saturday turned on the tape recorder and said let's record and put this out?"
