I really can't disagree more on Arcade Fire being great.

Oh, there goes Godspeed You! Black Emperor, off to their room to write that hit song "Alone in our principles."

What's the legal standing on this? It seems like it's a fair use of both Peanuts and The Smiths, because it's a parody. They're not making a profit from it, so what is there to cease and desist?

They sounded good from where the Mats were playing. I was unfortunately staking out a spot, and getting ready to sit through AFI's awful set.

This is just weird. I went to college with the guys who run Topshelf and remember when it was just a little local thing. Good on them.

I can beat that. A teenager up front for AFI, "Are The Replacements the ones with Flavor Flav?"

He was really great in "Wristcutters".

I'm gonna look like an idiot here, but I completely did not get Upstream Color.

Yeah, I kinda realized that.

I really tried to get into Propagandhi a few years ago, based on enjoying Dillinger Four and The Weakerthans, and it just wasn't happening.

Yeah, Blood Brothers are fantastic. Their last three records are just fucking fantastic all around, along with the first Jaguar Love EP (when they still had a drummer. When they turned to a drum machine, it blew.)

Stop bein' fackin' queeah. I'll get Mikey, Sully, Davey, Tahmmy, and Billy ta saahk ya with a rolla quatahs.

Get in the goddamn car.

as well as most depressing. I once listened to "Virtute the Cat Explains Her Departure" for an hour straight. Just bawling.

I'm not a big Garlin fan either, and the "Bowl Of" is fucking annoying as hell, but the back and forth that him and Maron had was great, along with Maron just calling Garlin out on almost everything he does, just trying to crush his morale.

I'm going to Chicago, and I'm PUMPED for that, but I'm jealous you got to see them with The Weakerthans.

This week's "By The Way: In Conversation with Jeff Garlin" was fucking incredible. Him and Maron were fantastic.

James Brown? James Brown. James Brown? JAMES BROWN.

I think I'm the one person that liked it. But also, it was pretty much just 1/2 Coke + 1/2 Orange soda.
