Maybe Kuai Liang...I’m about to find out by starting to play through the story modes of the last three Mortal Kombat games.

He’s still named Noob Saibot, but aside from the announcer saying his name I don’t remember any characters actually saying that name. If I’m remembering correctly, the only character that has directly addressed him in in the campaigns of any of the past three games is Kuai Liang, who just calls him Bi-Han.

Just wait until they introduce Mo Kap...

Absolutely, the whole “birthright” aspect of the Cole character to me screams “rightful leader of the Lin Kuei”, and making a “new” character just seems so completely unneccessary for anything other than a fake-out.

I also fucking adore the idea of Bi-Han coming back as Noob in a sequel, if for no other reason than

Yeah, the director himself confirmed it. He seems to actually have been really respectful of the Mortal Kombat lore (if anyone hasn’t seen his commentary of this trailer, go and check it out).

Bi-Han is the Sub-Zero in the movie, that’s 100% confirmed.

They must have seen Leon Massey’s video on Eleven and said, “Challenge Accepted.”

If your goal is to create a city that is a reasonable simulation to immerse the player in your story, then you very much should have some architects in your employ. Either to consult or actually do the work. Do I think everything in the game world should be slavishly tied to architectural principles, not a chance. But

Yes, yes it can. Just because you don’t care doesn’t mean others don’t. Don’t be so dense.

Doom was a mystery, in life and death.

I can’t believe how long ago the first Assassin’s Creed game was announced. At the time it felt so revolutionary. I had goosebumps watching the live demo. We had never seen something so advanced. It was next gen. It was exciting. The possibilities of exploring, climbing structures and jumping off them. Large crowd

Cyberpunk is a mediocre, overly buggy, and at times laughable experience, from CDPR, who in my humble opinion are perhaps the an unjustly heralded AAA dev team out there.

I don’t have a ton of experience in graphics (that class I mentioned is most of it), but the easiest way is to think of a shiny or mirrored surface in a game. For example, the windows in the recent Spider-Man game:

I think it’s crucial to remember that here we’re specifically talking about people who were “fans” of a game they’d never played. Being a fan of something you’ve personally enjoyed is a very different territory (and can certainly lead some to go to odd places), but this wasn’t that.

Of course, the far bigger issue is that a loud proportion of Cyberpunk 2077 purchasers (and indeed any other big-name game) don’t want reviews at all. They want reassurance. They paid for this game nearly two years ago, for whatever illogical reason (“I’m supporting the massive multi-million dollar company!”),

The article is 100% clear that it’s the X1 and PS4, not the XSX and PS5.

Dude Bungie had to essentially do the same thing for Halo CE too when MS bought them out. Was originally going to be an RTS. Amazing what they pulled off both times.

I dunno, I’m playing through Andromeda again right now, and despite it all, I’m enjoying it for what it is.

Well you could find that version of the story on really any other website talking about this. You just happen to be reading it on site whose main focus is videos games and other pop culture which undeniably non-science community people are most likely to know this from...so you know.
