As an Irishman, I don't know about Thanksgiving, but colcannon is a staple at the Christmas dinner table.

To be honest, I think all of season one is just a bit too blunt and heavy-handed. A show doesn't need to be incredibly subtle, it's just that Black Mirror bashes you over the head with every point. I realise that it's difficult for a world to be created in an hour, but a lot of the satire in the three episodes seem…
Seconded on "Birth". The stoic, unflinching shot of Kidman at the opera is truly powerful film making and acting. Pretty haunting movie in general, with moments that made me extremely uncomfortable but Glazer's direction is so lush and beautiful.
I am actually looking forward to it. People are allowed to hate it, but already all that hate is really fucking annoying, as people seem to be down voting anyone that's saying anything about the show. I really enjoy the show, so hopefully we can actually manage some intelligent conversations in the threads this year.…
Well I heard that The AV Club doesn't care about any of its readers and secretly want us to die purple monkey dishwasher.
I don't think that I care if the show can't quite strike the right tone between sadness and humour. Since "Enlightened's" early demise I really need a fix of another melancholic HBO 'comedy'.
Don't forget Shauna Malwae-Tweep and Crazy Ira and the Douche.
The episode where Alison ties up her husband and simultaneously hosts a party is pretty damn funny.
Oh man, I am so excited for all their humour to be replaced with people talking about aging.
Yeah, you're right, they probably wouldn't get the reference.
Betty is definitely more to Don than a cardboard-cut-out of the perfect wife. From everything that we know about Don, I'm sure that he shared something with Betty initially that made him think that she could make him happy forever (he gushes to Anna about her, he only likes the beginnings of things).
More, more, little more, little more, more, MORE! Too much.
I always loved Cassie's episodes. It was so heartbreaking even as a teen to witness a beautiful and normal looking girl struggle with such mental illness. I remember feeling slightly sick when she showed off her "skill" of talking at meals and cutting the food into smaller pieces to trick people into thinking she was…
Uncalled for! Legally Blonde is a fucking delight.
I haven't watched the later seasons, but fuck Karen. Season 3 is the season of Beasley, and it belongs to Pam. The whole season is her character maturing, slowly becoming a woman and not simply a wall-flower.
Yeah, although Julia and Nick seemed perfect together at the time (I really wished that Caplan could have joined the cast), it's so clear now that Nick and Jess belong together, just as Schmidt and Michael Keaton belong together.
Fuck all of you! RORY + JESS 4EVER!
I think Peggy's transformation throughout the entire series is my favourite television arc ever. Although it's painful to watch her struggle through the first season, it's also immensely satisfying if only for being able to witness the sterling and strong woman that she eventually becomes.
That picturesque scene with the Drapers lounging on the perfectly cut grass with a picnic basket before Betty leaves the trash behind is definitely one of my favourite images of the show.
I actually really like it. It reminds me of a piece by Irish artist Pauline Bewick -http://thecircular.org/wp-c…
