Man Survivor fans are such pussies these days. Drama = Drama. Whether it's the Ted and Ghandia grinding incident or Skupin falling in the fire. It's all great, no matter the circumstance.

"Thinking that there's a right way to be an adult woman, and that dudes
know what that way is is absolutely an element of western misogyny."

It's fantastic drama. Drama is what Survivor is all about.

I love how the first thing Mike does after getting paid is grabbing a Miller. "I can see this going a lot of ways, but I don't think theres any reality in which this ends with Miller time."

This was easily an A episode.

After Jason saw them she had no choice. She's the only person in the tribe sitting pretty with every person in the tribe, she can't jeopardize that.

She was absolutely pathetic in this challenge though, so it's not like they're off point.

Theres definitely a case to be made for Amazon being a younger and sexier season but it's also worth pointing out that of the eight women in the cast only three of them were the typical "younger cuter girls" (thanks Heidi), and only two of them made the merge. The men's tribe is similar. It skews younger but it's not

"Since season 10 or 11, the show's cast also started to seem a lot more
"inauthentic" and sterilized, with tribes today seeming to be 16 body
builders and models."

Spoken like someone who has never seen All-Stars.

Soo Hok spels liek siht soits liek a triboot

I agree. I also thought it was interesting to watch because Joe was inching his way towards breaking Colby's records and the last two episodes have had a "Is he going to pull it off?" thrill.

Thats kind of the thing though. Brian could've brought anyone he wanted to the finals but he chose to bring Clay because he knew people didn't like him. He was the first goat in the show.

"Also would the alphas needed for camp life go early so everyone
struggles as Tribes? Or would they band together socially to stay in.
How long would the naive bikini girls last if it started as singles but
then they had to try and fit into Tribal life?"

"And the merged tribe name never gets used after the merge ep, right?"

It makes me wonder if they should ditch the tribal gameplay completely next season and start with a single 16 person tribe.

Well then wherever he is he's smiling fondly at seeing Probst finally crack it.

Mark Burnett has been trying to circumvent Richard Hatch's gameplan for the last fifteen years. This season he might have finally done it: Flip flop the tribes so much that tribal lines cease to exist, then merge with a massive number of players so any alliance would have to be impossibly huge to get a majority,

Hell, I remember back in season ONE Ramona compared the Pagong camp negatively to the ghetto.

So typical liberal behaviour of taking things too seriously? OK then.
