Not surprising, I sensed a cull was coming and it was the easiest one to cut lose.

Not really looking forward to Ep 9 as much as previous installments but that’s nothing to do with the rather fine Last Jedi, which is flawed but interesting different and fun....Its mostly due to the toxic atmosphere ‘true Star wars fans!’ (speaking for all of us of course) are inevitably going to create and drain all…
Pretty much this.
All of these have been explained by Jonson himself but unfortunately haters will not accept them as they don’t like the explanation. I’d direct you to the spoiler podcast on Empire movie magazine where they interview him, its really interesting (whether you liked movie or not) and hundreds of other print interviews.
It will also be dreadful as its Guy Ritchie who at best can made a decent film, almost all of which are worth less than the sum of their parts (King Arthur, Sherlock Holmes, all his crap cockney stuff).
and decade from now DC still wont have made a truly brilliant, cohesive Superman film, or sorted out a strategy for their shared universe and their movies will still just be a mix of chasing whats cool or doubling down on bad creative decisions just... because?. ;)
A Kraven the Hunter movie where he inst just a supporting character. Please Sony stop pretending you are the MCU and seek help.
This means Ayer wont be involved i guess. I cannot imagine grim-dark, militaristic aesthetic Ayer using a off-beat Gunn script. I am much more excited about it now though.
Ok exaggeration much, but was my understanding the studio wanted more so the sequel wasn’t greenlit. A shame as it was a flawed but fun movie.
Bond is male. He’s a male character. He was written as a male and I think he’ll probably stay as a male. And that’s fine. We don’t have to turn male characters into women. Let’s just create more female characters and make the story fit those female characters.
...and 4 people and a small lizard called Steve watched it (despite the fact its good, if not as good as John Wick).
It was fine, not half as good as Matt Smiths fantastically funny first episode but about on par with Capaldi and Tennant’s. Whitaker did a decent job but script felt a bit flat at times and many of the jokes just didn’t work for me (i suspect that’s more the script than her performance).
Looks alright but some of those jokes do not work IMO.
Ha, that’s funny, id say the same thing about Defenders. ;)
Yes, mostly because of Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle
Loving the fact they are finally using an older Peter Parker, looks like a great movie
Interesting review.
Not buying it, sorry.... Also a pg-13 rated Deadpool, how on earth is that going to work?
I was hoping for something a bit more cosmic, not just a semi-remade Last Stand TBH. I could be proven wrong and I hope to be.
I guess Nat is more conflicted and perhaps more interesting if we see her as more amoral before Hawkeye spares her and before shes becomes more wholesome.
