Fun fact, having played both series: Tomb Raider reboot is just as good as Uncharted but the internet would have you believe TR is just a rip-off (which elements are but the same could be said of UC1 which used elements of earlier TR games, etc, etc). Its a reboot which is actually good.

Liked the film but that final fight looked so fake to me (compare it to Steve taking on the ship full of Pirates in Winter Soldier) that I assumed it was all CGI models...genuinely surprised there’s actually guys practically fighting there.

Absolutely, though i fear the use of legacy characters and worlds is to do with being risk averse.

Why make a Batman, Borderlands or GoTG game with the clunky action mechanics they have? Surely pick your material more wisely?

Don’t like to see anyone out of the job and sorry for that reason but its kinda understandable. The Walking Dead games were a revelation and then all they did is apply the same template to licence after licence, no matter how appropriate.... until I stopped caring.

Why cant Venom movie be R rated and have him appear in a slightly less violent version in a Spiderman movie? Weak excuse

Cavill was fine as Supes (the benchmark is set so high from Reeve, that’s the main issue any actor playing him faces) but he was given a poor hand, especially in B v S and J L.

Ultuimates was hella fun till Loeb got his mitts on it.

Bit bland in MoS and Man From Uncle for me but actually really liked him in MI: Fallout. Wouldn’t have been my first choice (I saw someone a bit more hard bitten like Hugh Jackman or Viggo Mortenson) but its a sign they are going for bigger stars for sure.

The Voice of Sauron scene....jeez. Should have been sinister and creepy (great scene in the book), it turns into a weird scene where Gimli makes Arnie style one-liners.

Is Orloonda Bland still it or did they sensibly cut him out or ADR over him with someone who has more than one tone of voice? :)

I thought Blank Panthers in-suit action was the weakest bit of the movie. The waterfall fights were full of crunch and weight though.

Peaked at DD season 2 IMO. Liked Punisher but Luke Cage, JJ2, IF and Defenders all a little disappointing. Put me off LC season 2 even though Iheard its more consistent quality.

Errrrm i dunno its fun but the above is literally one step away from Adventures of Hercules or Xena but with decapitations.
