Came to say that I’m hopeful for this movie, like the cast but the photo isn’t very well Photoshopped, and came away reading 150,000 comments critising a woman’s haircut like its OK magazine thread/1950's tabloid. Sigh.

Lesbian because she has short hair? The 50's are calling, they want their attitudes back.
All of which would be true but McKenzie Davis is a great actress.
First i have heard about it. But given that the last two were like Indy through a Dan Brown lens, with zero peril I can see why.
Dave Bautista everyone...he’s like The Rock (charismatic, likable, decent actor) but he isn’t in every movie this year and nobody is sick of him yet. Plus he said that so yay for him.
I saw the trailer and thought...Kick-Ass 1.
JL was a mess but ‘unfairly treated’ accurate? Snyder had two bites of cherry with MoS and BvS, the former of which was promising but 3 star, the latter a narrative mess. In both instances he was given pretty much full creative control.
Yep...Throw in Ant Man/Ant Man 2 too. Id say in terms of tone and genre MCU is being pretty varied, or as varied as you could be within the superhero confines.
That actually figures given how Hulk acts in rest of movie.
Arrow....imagine a Batman TV show where he dresses in green instead of black and grey, then add a pre-costume backstory (rather than ninja monks) which last for about 17 series (when it should be one). Then gradually add more and more heroes (sisters, sidekicks, best fiends, dogs, all getting costumes) until everyone…
Uber MCU nerd here but never really cared sorry Katie. I listed to a podcast where the people on it lost their sh!t over the time between Avengers 1 and Spiderman Homecoming isn’t consistent and is out by 2 years, yet I honestly didn’t notice and still don’t really mind.
It is possible to write quiet dignity/goodness and make it interesting, be good to see writers apply this to Superman (they made a start on JL but not there yet).
Yep, thats it.
That’s a badass moment for sure, one of best entrances in MCU.
Didn’t see that myself, thought The Thor/GoTG scenes were some of the best written and most emotional in the movie.
Or maybe they have more information than you and after thinking about it for the best part of a year and talking to the family/creative team this is what they came up with and may well work beautifully. It may not but there’s literally no reason to be so negative given how little you and I know about the situation,…
I’d almost love to see the geek storm that would erupt if Disney fired them. I’m sure they could afford to but i’m not sure they would have the balls.
Ha, that’s Stath for sure. I have $5 on him not deciding what accent he wants to use as well. (p.s i love his movies for most part, think hes a brilliant pulpy movie star)
I think the Chinese elements to the movie (setting, stars/backing) should at least gain it some dollar over there. I reckon around $100 in US, $150 rest of world and about that total alone in China.
That film looks way less fun that it probably should do at this point and I love The Stath and Rainn Wilson.
