None of the above text suggests corporate product to me sorry, that suggests something more idiosyncratic and ergo less-deigned by committee.

Funny how people who don’t like the bolder slightly weirder dissembled tone of TLJ also says its because its too corporate.... the two concepts are completely at odds.

The reaction from some vocal fans has ostensibly ruined online Star wars discussion for me and is slightly taking the joy out of it.

Who is asking for this? Aside from the creepy couple who hang around the bus station wearing ‘Daddy’s little monster t-shirts’ and ripped black jeans.

Oh my, I actually liked that and may watch it.

Whatever you think of his personal beliefs, cant disagree that he is maybe the most legit action star out there. I love the Rock and Stath but would he go to the effort of actually doing a halo jump or jumping a building, or learning to fly a chopper?

NerdWriter is awesome and whilst he is a good judge of movies sometimes critical of Marvel (their cinematography is highlighted in one video), he is right in this circumstance. Bar that Batman warehouse fight in BvS (one of the few good bits) the action is dull and weightless.

I read it that Quill had to do that as it was only future where the won, i.e. its moot anyway.

This, he looks like he had a fight with a house cat not got his face mangled. I wonder if it will be added to in post though...or maybe its a mask.

Been consistently good for 5 movies (ok second movie not great but still fun) 1 and 3-5 are fantastic in their own way

Its a decent movie just not essential....bit like Rogue One. The conspiracy (most likely perpetrated by people who cant let the bombing run bit in TLJ or accept Luke is different... but let everything else go in every other movie) is toxic, like most internet Star Wars conversation is now. Huge shame

A great performance (from Jolie) in search of a decent film.

Honestly i didn’t care and i quote liked Solo.

Fett is a cosplay outfit looking for a actual character. He looks cool, says about 4 lines and seemingly dies in an amateurish way...why is he getting a spin-off?

It has the potential to yes but on the other hand Ragnarok was Marvels best film in last year (including BP and IW) and all his previous work has been fantastic...so likelihood is Jojo Rabbit is likely to follow in the same vein and be rather good.

Who can Alan Taylor blame for his seeming inability to make a decent blockbuster this time? With Thor 2 it was Marvel...so maybe Sky-net? ;)

Hammer will be the next Batman (again)...ironically of course.

With you on that one Charles but have to feel that the pure amount of requests is linked to its cultural resonance. By that metric its hard to say no.

Greenwood is excellent yeah, if Conroy retires he should get the gig

I honestly thought the bigger problem was the clunky writing (after an excellent first series), lack of compelling villain, contrived plot and weird tic-filled performance from Rachel Taylor, who looked like she learned how to be an addict from a 1950's school educational video about weed (twitch a lot, be really
