As a Clippers fan, I do think he's the best player on the team and I do agree he's underrated because of his position and play style (pass first PG).

Easiest way to decide on what/when to tip? Just pull a Steven Colbert and go with your guts. Social conventions are a good place to start, but use it as suggestion, never the rule.
