Sorry, is that responding to my comment about adding ‘new’ races for swimming in summer Olympics? If so, people certainly do care about the new races as much as old ones, though I’m sure that’s because they’re not new to any high level competitive swimmer, just new to the Olympics.

WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!? Nice remark on the PB and bread, I can’t see myself coming up with anything more than that (probably wouldn’t have even be able to manage that) in that sort of scenario. What is wrong with some people.

God yes. Life isn’t fair, employers can be awful, but there is no justification in the world for STABBING two young children. What could they have ever done to her, or anyone.

It’s unbelievable how much my view of the states has changed in the last 5 years, less so the 5 before that. I’m really sorry to say it, but I can’t help but notice that I no longer have any respect for the country as a whole. Individual citizens, I certainly do for about half of you, but as an entire nation? What the

YEP. I felt heartbroken watching the US election results (and I’m not even American) because I truly didn’t understand how millions of people could vote for someone who is so brutally sexist. Never thought they were all sexist, but they clearly didn’t mind if the highest office in the US was held by someone who has

YES YES YES YES YES! I have childhood trauma that I’ve done a lot of working through, but am certainly not done. It’s contributed negatively at times with my relationship with my partner, and that’s causing us to seek therapy together to work through our few issues together to make our all around great relationship

I really really enjoy 7-10 year olds. They’re fully formed young ones, but still have SO MUCH FUN! to pass around. Basically for swim coaching they can be taught, but only limited amounts because their brains are just so into fun and joy and laughter. They make me happy just being nearby.

I looove O.B.! My mom used them, and she got me the plastic applicator ones when I first got my period since she thought that may be easier? I find them harder to use and get to that perfect spot where you can’t feel them and they aren’t at risk of a slow escape. Basically, been using O.B. since like my second period

WAIT WHAT!?!?! I haven’t seen the movie, but don’t intend to. HE OPENS HER POD EARLY!??! That’s madly creepy, I thought that they both malfunctioned and opened early.

Eh, I disagree with you there. Yeah, this doesn’t do anything (aside from the donation aspect, that’s very cool), but at least the feminist equality movement is getting a nod? Sure, they’re failing miserably at it, but isn’t that better than being completely ignored like before?

Eh, there are definitely women who enjoy scotch (myself included). However, I honestly think this is a case of women being allowed to like fruity/feminine?? drinks and men being teased if they order them, and just preferring that to a beverage that tends to either be ‘smoky’ or ‘peaty’.

Gah, yes!!! I regularly am the only woman out with my coworkers, and it’s a pretty regular occurrence for them to order my drinks for me, since that is way easier for them to accomplish than me. It’s not every place, but it’s a frequent thing for me to be completely ignored by the waitress because she knows she can

Not gonna lie, I was sobbing when we lost that gold medal final. I adore the Canadian women’s hockey team, they’re easily my favourite thing about the winter Olympics. I found them incredibly inspirational when I was going through a rough patch in my childhood so to see their Olympic gold streak go away because of a

So add the shorter distances to the men’s and the longer to the women’s. Keep all old records and just have more events for everyone. I’d bet a lot of money some men would kill for a 3000m race and a lot of women would badly want a 10000m. Just because they don’t specifically train for that NOW, doesn’t mean they

Are there really no equivalent distances outside of the Olympics? I’m not well versed in speed skating or cross country skiing, but in swimming, they just introduced the women’s 1500m and the men’s 800m, for a long time the men only had the 1500 and women only had the 800 but only in the Olympics. Outside that

Yeah, no kidding. She’s been getting a lot of coverage lately, which is pretty impressive considering we’re still super into Virtue/Moir, but I think that’s also CBC trying to pivot the hockey/curling into LOOK! MORE ICE! WHERE THE STATE’S WON’T ******** BEAT US. grumble grumble.

Yep, my first thought hearing about them having the brilliant idea of arming teachers was ‘well, I wonder how long it will be until the first child is accidentally shot by the teacher trying to protect them.’

Damn, that’s totally it. I’m only not bad at public speaking now because I forced myself into situations in university where I had to do it and it gradually got easier. I’m solidly in the millenial cohort, and I live for instant/text messages. MSN messenger was amazing when I was a young teen and started that side of

It’s so absurd. I like to counter that argument with the ‘okay, so since people can successfully get crystal meth on the black market, we should just give up on enforcing that. Let’s make it legal! Woohoo!’ Same rationale there.

I’m assuming you’re not an American? I’m not, and my first reaction to seeing this was something along the lines of ‘this is why I am so vehemently uppity when people insist that Canadians are just like Americans! Or if I’m out of the country I’m so quick to assert that I’m Canadian, NOT american’. It’s always been
