I also live in Calgary, and I definitely am voting for Nenshi in this. I like how he’s not just bowing to coprorate pressure and is really taking a look at the numbers and future aspects.

We definitely do it in Canada. For CFL just canadian national anthem, for NHL if there’s an American team and Canadian team playing each other you have both sang. It’s particularly funny for me when that happens since most NHLers are actually Canadian and it’s likely the vast majority of the attendees at a Calgary NHL

Alberta, Fort Mac/Calgary. So I’ve seen some funky stuff in grocery stores, you can find lots of Newfie stuff in the Fort Mac ones because of all the newfs there.

I have 3 people in my life i’d donate a kidney to. My mom, my best friend, and my boyfriend. So

Totally available in Canada my friend. Since the last 90's at least. If not earlier.

My children will never meet my father, ever. My mother is wonderful and will be a very involved grandmother, but I cut my father out of my life 3 years ago and there’s only pain and heartache for me and potentially them to open that door just so they could know their maternal grandfather. My future kids will have 3

Yep. I don’t have children yet, but my boyfriend and I both are on the same page with them being 2-3 years out. We both work at the same company, which offers blanket parental leave. I believe it’s unpaid, but I’m in Canada so there’s systems in place to help with that/we do project work so it will be fairly easy to

You just made me choke on my celery.

Yep. I had a drawn out pre-dating period with my now boyfriend, which meant we had a massive 3 hour indepth talk that started the official relationship which included kids, what quadrant of the city we each preferred for future house, how many kids, general family logistics like parental leave, the fact I’m not going

No insult taken! I also believe the vast majority of workplace relationships and general extra-curriculars tends to be based entirely on hormones and not thought out at all, hence why they tend to be gigantic messes and are warned against.

Btw. Amy Schumer is not the daughter of a US senator. The US senator I think you’re thinking of (Chuck Schumer), they are related, he’s a cousin of her father’s.

Well. I’d say there’s another exception there. My boyfriend and I met at work, and both still work at the same place. But we delayed dating until we had been friends for a good 6 months and had seriously examined things (we’re both engineers, so there was lots of logic). We also do not work on the same project, and

Agreed. Bralettes aren’t for me (34DD), but my best friend adores them since they support a bit and that’s all she wants, and they’re so cute and so much cheaper than underwire contraptions that are overkill for smaller chests.

Yep. Definitely. My boyfriend doesn’t wear make-up, but spends time and money on products for his hair, beard, general skin care. Men’s preening is a thing, but the focus is on different areas. I wear make-up and do my hair, he grooms the facial hair/head hair, we take about the same amount of time in the morning.

THEY CANCELLED THE CATCH!?!?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I adore that show. Damnit ABC.

No worries! It’s a very common mistake, made by tons of Canadians as well (myself included).

Ugh, it’s so frustrating. I was waiting in a line with my boyfriend and there was a guy offering people waiting water bottles (it made sense in context). My boyfriend said no thanks, and he just continued on. I WANTED WATER, but he didn’t even bother to ask/look at me since I was eagerly waiting for my water. I was so

In general I’d go with don’t pick anyone up you aren’t 100% sure is okay with it. I HATE when men pick me up when they hug me, I don’t care who you are.

Meh. I’m a woman who works almost entirely with men (engineering) and always get handshakes, never hugs. At least in Canadian engineering/oil & gas you don’t hug. That’s weird. I don’t think it will take that much time for people to sort it out, at least not everywhere.
